The rooms were spacious and equipped with all that we needed. The wrap-around balcony was fantastic and gave us a view of the sea on one side and the town on the other. Gianni, our host, was extremely friendly and helpful, greeting us upon our arrival. The kitchen was equipped with coffee maker, tea pot, dishes, pots and pans, and little sweets. Gianni gave us a map of Polignano and marked off nearby restaurants and sites. He is a great host and surely aims to please his guests.

Everything was perfect. Immaculately clean self-catering apartment. Kind and welcoming staff. Washing machine available and host gave me liquid. The bedroom felt fit for a princess. Partial ocean views + city views and great to watch sunsets from the wrap-around balcony. Just one street back from ocean in a quiet area. Easy walking distance to all sites. 20min walk to port for boat tours. 15min walk to train station. Coffee machine and pods, kettle and tea included. 10min walk to grocery store.

No lift (if that is important for you) only stairs.

After we were left without accommodation in the evening hours due to another unavailable and unprofessional service provider, Gianni, the host of Dimora Grottone, answered our call immediately, we met at the entrance of the accommodation in 10 minutes to see the remaining room. We were able to stay the first night to decide whether we would like to spend more days here. We finally chose this as our main base for the next 5 days. Perfect and fast communication, clean apartment, full equipment, quiet environment, close to the sea, close to the old town, yet a calm environment. But the most positive thing for us is the owner, who puts his heart and soul into his work and don't let travelers down. He answers quickly and willingly to all questions that arise. Kindness and trust are guaranteed with this choice of accomodation.

I was disappointed that the room wasnt what i expected or what i thought I'd booked in the website. Its very confusing, showing me all the amazing rooms but with hidden alternatives. We had no kitchen and this is not what i ordered especially with a young family. Besides this, it was clean and fresh, and the host was friendly, but they sold me misinformation and that was a let down.

Giovanni welcomed us; gave us a city map and highlighted tour areas and some of his favorite restaurants. And room/location was just right for our needs.
