Maya Hotel

We traveled to Shimla for the day from this hotel. The hotel arranged a taxi for us.

Execellent breakfast and hard working staff who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

Comfortable stay. Good service. They have no travel desk and the taxis arranged by the front desk has no uniform charges. Had to rely on their whims and smooth talking. This was the only detterrent. Our stay was otherwise very comfortable and would definitely recommend this hotel. Cleanliness of room was very very good.

All the staff were very helpful and could not do enough. Bags were carried to our room and staff were always on hand to assist us. The restaurant serviced excellent food and the chefs could not have done enough to ensure all our catering needs were met.

This was one of the most pleasant hotel experiences I have ever had - the rooms are extremely comfortable and well laid-out. Having stayed at high-end hotels in Delhi and Amritsar during the same trip, and for which I paid much more, Maya is head and shoulders above what style and quality you usually get in India. And, for a city where there is not too much to actually do, it is excellently located - crucially just next door to Gulab, which serves some of the best Punjabi food anywhere in the world (which is saying a lot, but its true) - don't be fooled by its appearance! Overall a highly recommendable hotel...

Shower was good. Washroom was okay.. Condition of hallway and lobby was bad. Weird smell. Condition of room was not that clean. Would recommend if on a budget.

Really enjoyed out stay. Great hotel in the heart of the city for a very reasonable price. The rooms were very comfortable and well laid out and the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The free breakfast buffet every morning as such a treat.

Arrived and immediately taken care of with great service. They made sure I had nothing to worry about and everything was smooth without any surprises. The room was very clean, very modern and comfortable bed. The premises were beautiful and the adjoining restaraunt and food were great.
