Iridanos

This hotel is in the perfect location to enjoy Meteora. As you enter the main town at the base of the six monasteries, it is located at the start (or end) of the loop. We arrived at the hotel, checked in, and the staff gave some great suggestions for seeing the monasteries. The property is just a few years old, and it was just perfect. Great shower, likened, pillows, mattresses, and breakfast. This is not the town for large hotel chains, and you will be so delighted to enjoy your stay at Iridanos. Oh - and this place is large enough not to feel like a bed and breakfast but too small for a charter bus to stop at. It was great!

Beautiful bed and breakfast accommodations. The place is exquisitely furnished; our triple room had a marble fireplace, decorative wood ceiling, lovely decor, and a balcony. Beds and linens were comfy, shower was great! Complimentary family-style breakfast was served in a bright and beautiful dining area. Our table was laden with boiled eggs, various meats & cheeses, both sweet and savory breads, honey, jam, Nutella, spanakopita, cheese rolls, croissants, etc. The best part of our stay, however, was the lovely family who runs Iridanos. They are experts in hospitality. Due to traveling difficulties, we arrived after midnight. Our host was so gracious despite our late arrival. And his wife was so helpful and friendly the next day with directions and visitor tips. She even told us about a special local Kalambaka festival that we really enjoyed, in addition to visiting the monasteries. The wifi worked perfectly in our room, as did the a/c. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

Very nice bed and breakfast experience. Clearly one of the nicest hotels in the area. For the pricepoint, it's a great deal. Our only complaint was the breakfast (which was fine by most standards as it included bread, eggs, concentrate Orange juice, etc.) but I'm not sure if that's a fair complaint since we were comparing it to our other lodging that was 5-10x more expensive. Meteora is beautiful and Nikki (the owner) will give you helpful advice on the best activities in the area.

we stayed in 2 rooms, and had an awesome experience. the owner and the staff were very friendly and very accommodating, esp given that we arrived very late (11pm), and left by 10am the next morning. the food was great, the room was large and updated.

The owners accommodated our early check-in and were generally kind and helpful. The town in late winter is not lively but this may be a factor of the season. The location is on the outskirts but easy for reaching the Monasteries. We changed the bathroom bulb because one was out hoping to get more light, but still the washroom was quite dim.

One of the reasons we chose the Iradanos Guest House was the top rating given by previous guests. We wondered how they could rank it so highly and now after staying there understood why. The hotel is at the base of the cliffs of Meteora and had a great view from sunrise to sunset. The hotel is very new, yet tastefully constructed and decorated to reflect quality and finish of a "grand" manor home from a bygone era. Our room had a delightful sitting area in front of the fireplace as well as a spacious balcony. Bathroom fixtures were modern, the linens were crisp the service top notch and breakfast was great. Our hosts went out of their way to help with planning our holiday as well as making dining recommendations.

The location is a little far away. But they supply accurate tour information and advice, and the environment is great. I will choose it again

We popped in for a visit to Meteora. Iridanos took care of us: from the thermostat, to the squeaky clean room, awesome view, free WIFI, hot shower, handy breakfast, tips for dinner, and most important tips for visiting the monasteries. We hated to leave but had to keep on our schedule. Added bonus are the people in Meteora! Really nice and helpful.

Everything!!! The experience was exceptional! Nicki the innkeeper is beyond a doubt one of the best in the world!
