Posada Spa San Marcos

this is an excellent hotel and superb value, staff are pleasant and helpful and the food although not from a very extensive menu is excellent would certainly go back

We stayed one night before catching a ferry from Santander. Dinner and breakfast were good and good value, the kids loved the pool and the service was excellent. Look out for the memorabilia!

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel on a recent trip to Santillana. The hotel is nicely situated just outside the town- about 5 mins walk but yet in the countryside. It's very clean with friendly and helpful staff.it has lovely pool area outside which is well maintained and was a blessing in the hot weather. However we were v disappointed in the quality and choice of food in the restaurant both for an evening meal and for breakfast. Our room did not have air conditioning and no fans were available. We felt the hotel lived up to a four star rating in every other way except for these 2 things.

Excellent, brilliant first night and get exactly what you expect. Can't fault it except English holiday makers touring rural Spain do need to learn more Espaniol!!

Excellent Hotel by the road, a bit noisy but at night is peaceful, countryside noise wakes you up with a roster singing in the fresh morning, simple but nice breakfast buffet for 7 euros is convenient, walking distance from Old Town Santillana del Mar, was an amazing surprise. Hotel owner has a beautiful collection of antique and new cars. Nice SPA, like a dream, with unexpected massage treatments, really good, only you have to pay to use indoor pool, is understandable but expensive if you have kids (is not an hotel for kids).

Excellent value for breakfast and basic dinner. Easy walking distance form old town and it's attractions.

Excellent Hotel very clean and the staff could not do enough for you, my only gripe was that they wanted 5 Euros per night for parking but when I challenged them about it they did not question it and did not charge for the parking, very close to the village which was very quaint. Food was excellent and well presented.
