COCO-MAT Hotel Nafsika

My husband and I stayed for 8 nights at Hotel Nafsika because of great reviews. The hotel had a nice calming energy. No matter what we were doing each day, as soos as we walked through the front door, we felt so much happier and relieved. As others have said, it's an easy walk from the Metro station and is in a quiet residential neighborhood. A lot of natural wood and materials are used throughout the hotel. We also loved the breakfast! They served fresh-squeezed OJ, (cooked to order) eggs/omelet with veggies or meat, several types of artisanal bread, hot baked item, fruit salad, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, and 3 types of goodies. They also had self-serve espresso machines and teas. They had honey, praline, and house-made strawberry jam on the table. They were all-you-can-eat. The staff was very helpful and personable. It helped that there were only 22 rooms. The only complaints we had were the tight space and very heavy sliding closet door. Hotel Nafsika is definitely a highlight of our trip to Greece.

Staff was very co-operative, since I am pure vegetarian they were very helpful in deciding my food. They helped me in customizing my meal with smiling face and great enthusiasm.

Kiffissia is a quiet leafy suburb north of Athens and a peaceful escape from the heat and bustle for city dwellers in the Summer months. This hotel was designed with restfulness and ease in mind. From the first greeting at reception to the delightfully simple but well-prepared meals with local ingredients and the quiet comfortable rooms with their superb beds- this was a dream stay. There is more to Kiffissia and Coco_Mat then a jumping off point for visiting Athens. It is a pleasant district in its own right with pleasant walks and bright centre and lively nightspots.

The COCO-MAT Hotel Nafsika is a perfect hotel for escaping the city. The service and food were exceptional and the hotel is small enough that the staff is attentive to your every need.

This hotel is smaller, but it really comfortable to stay. Especial for its bed and those accessory, there are all in top quality. The service in this hotel is very hospitable, and they let me feel like to stay in my home! When I visit Athens in next time, and this hotel will be my first choice!

Very nice little hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly and accomedating. The food was superb! The shower was a little odd for me, but I'm a traditionalist and the shower was not. The WIFI service was not working 4 of the 5 nights I was there, although this was out of the hotel's control. Also, there was construction going on next door (loud during the day) and I feel this should have been disclosed. All in all, I would stay again without thinking twice!

Very difficult to find in a residential neighbourhood, but once you have arrived it is great - both the hotel and the nice quiet neighbourhood. A small hotel. The restaurant has a small menu too, but food is great.

This was a return visit after a year, I was not disappointed as the same friendly informal atmosphere in comfortable surroundings was maintained. The food in the evening has moved on by leaps and bounds from functional to truly delicious and it is worth visiting for this alone.
