Pullman Anshan Time Square

I have stayed here in the past when this hotel was very new. It seems to be slowly falling apart! The price by western standards is very good. The general standard though has fallen from what I expect of the Pullman brand. This should be rebranded as a Novotel, in my opinion. My room was a very good size and generally well appointed, but had multiple faults: Window drapes were looking shabby. The room was very poorly lit. The light switches were a nightmare because the logic in the light controller was non-intuitive. Example: pressing the switch for the bathroom light when no lights were on in the room turned on the light directly above the bed on a first press, then the bathroom light on a second press, so I would not have liked to be staying there along with my partner! Shaving was difficult due to the position of a single spotlight above the bathroom mirror. There was the constant sound of running water from upper floors and when someone used the shower in the room above me, water ran down the bathroom wall and collected in a puddle on the floor. The shower screen/door was misaligned and badly sealed, allowing eve more water to spread across the bathroom floor. One bedside light had a dead light bulb, the bathroom scales didn't work but worst of all the fan on the air-conditioner would not run for more than about 40 seconds. I only realized this on my second night, too late to ask for a different room. My AccorPlus status was not recognized on check-in, I didn't receive the welcome drink I should have received. Breakfast was good, the selection wide and varied for Western and Eastern tastes. Management needs to pull their socks up, though!

Seem like this is the only 5 star hotel in Anshan. Location is quite away from the city centre. Welcome drink was not given to me during my stay and the executive lounge had a very poor food selection.

When your travelling in china you need to relax and have a comfortable hotel, this hotel ticked all the boxes. Very comfortable beds, quite with all amenities, restaurant, bar, gym, pool etc. Only criticism is that it is in a quiet place of the town bit ideal to relax and unwind, would defiantly recommend

First time in town for business. Hotel is well located, excellent service and very confortable rooms. Check in/out process was extremely fast, a very profesional staff took care of our process , rooms were quickly assigned. Very spacious and confortable room, great bathroom (well appreciated after almost 2 weeks in China). Lobby bar has a great selection and nice ambiance. Only have the chance to try the restaurant for breakfast and it was perfect! great selection of food and beverages, way above standards!! I will consider this hotel for all future visits!

I have stayed in this and many other Accor hotels in many countries and I am a gold card member. At this hotel I had to ask for my welcome drink and was offered a coffee or juice - who wants a welcome coffee or juice in 36deg heat, when other hotels offer beer, wine or a cocktail? On the first night the room temp was 29deg. I asked for another room as the aircon was obviously broken, but apparently the hotel was fully booked - yeah right. They offered to fix the aircon and when I returned that night it had been fixed (and left me a complimentary bottle of wine) - unfortunately on my 3rd and last night it was broken again.

Stayed here two years for 1 night on business. Check in was quick as there was not so many people in the lobby. Rooms was new but not well maintained (typical problem in hotels of China). The hotel is located a little bit off the centre. Could not asked for more in this small city.

This is probably the best a small city like Anshan could offer. In a bigger city, this would probably just be slightly above average. In any case, I'm not complaining. At least it ticks all the right boxes. Service standards still have some room for improvement.
