Taypikala Lago

Breakfast was good enough for a family traveling with elderly members, people in their 40s and a little enfant. The hair drier! We loved it, thanks for it. The room was comfy, clean and very well decorated. The view was spectacular at night and during the day. The hotel has very pretty gardens and the rooms are nicely decorated, very lovely. Although, it was -3 degrees outside during the morning, the room was warm. Dinner was delicious. Staff was helpful and professional.

The toilet seemed a bit run down or old. But, it was clean and tidy, enough towels. The hair drier was really awesome. Very thankful for that.

Spacious, clean room with large bed. Amazing garden full of flowers and lots of benches in different corners to sit down. Nice swimming pool. Friendly and welcoming service.

Todo. La atención del personal es superlativa. El desayuno americano es increíble y el Restaurant riquísimo. La vista al lago es inmejorable. Las habitaciones espaciosas y cómodas. Nos ayudaron mucho con nuestro soroche y nos proveyeron de oxígeno cuando necesitamos. Cuesta entender el precio tan barato. Increíble lugar.

We stayed at Taypikala Lago for 8 days, and overall, it was an absolutely excellent experience. We loved almost everything about this hotel and highly recommend it! The Highlights: Out-of-the-Box Staff: The team here is incredibly helpful, friendly, and supportive. A special shoutout to Rut and Glen in the restaurant, who were exceptionally attentive, warm, and made us feel so welcome every day. Fantastic Food: The food is excellent. Whatever we ordered was delicious, fresh, served hot, and of the highest quality. Great Location: It is located just 20 minutes by car from the center of Puno. We easily used Uber and Cabify to request taxis in advance, which cost around 40–50 PEN (Soles) per trip. Final Verdict: Despite the internet struggles, the incredible hospitality, beautiful setting, and amazing food made our stay unforgettable. We would definitely stay here again!

Poor Internet for Remote Work: The only major downside was the Wi-Fi. We were staying here for work, and the internet was very weak throughout the entire hotel. It was very difficult to hold online meetings on MS Teams/Zoom or make internet calls. Since we were here for 8 days, this was a consistent issue. The hotel definitely needs to upgrade its connectivity.
