I had the full British breakfast and it was very nice, eggs need a little bit more attention but not a major issue.

Shower tiles could be a bit cleaner

Bedrooms were fine and away from the road , so quiet. Pub downstairs , so convenient.

Could have done with some real ales .

No phone in room and as no mobile reception except out of room in car park , not good for single traveller if in emergency. Some steps to carry suitcase up to entrance . No handrails .

Whilst accommodation was basic it was perfect for a quick overnight and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Room, bathroom and bed linen were nice & clean, bed was comfortable, so for an over night stay it's ok. My wife struggles with mobility so on request they did put us in room 8 which can be entered/exited via a fire door onto the car park as long as you can get over the door threshold, all other rooms are steps. Tea & coffee facilities, ie kettle were there, but we didn't use them. Hair dryer in the room, 1 wardrobe, plenty of draws. The room heated up quickly with the electric heater. It is run by an Indian man who is very friendly and polite, and the restaurant curries are lovely and they catered for us with meals not on the menu. Buffet breakfast is OK, but minimal, only 2 cereal options, cooked items are not piping hot and could do with being under the grill longer so visually they look a bit more edible, no vegetarian or gluten free options though, percolated coffee was weak as if it had been filtered through more than once, they only had marmalade & no jam. Plenty of free parking at the back, but you come down a slope and then down steps. Generally it was ok for a stop over, but at £125.00 I think its a bit pricey for what you get, I think £80/£90 would be more realistic, but its only for able bodied people who don't need assistance to walk.

My wife is on crutches at the moment and mobility is minimal, she struggled because its on a slope and steps to get into the main hotel, pub/restaurant with no hand rails. This hotel/building has no facilities for more disabled people and no one should book if they rely on a wheel chair for mobility/access as there are no ramps anywhere. The bathroom in 8 has a baths/shower but no D handles for getting in/out if your unsure on stability, so plan for a strip wash. For some reason room 8 only had 1 twin socket so if you have a few items to charge take a 4 gang extension lead. the light for the main room is in the entrance lobby adjacent the toilet door so to turn it off a night you have to go through a door, there should be a switch in the room. The TV is small (28") so you need good eye sight if your in the furthest bed, but for 1 night its ok. Dinning tables have that sticky feel due to the cleaning agent they must use, so it has that grubby feeling. I had to wonder around the building looking for someone to hand the key back when we left. I think the owners could do with a little hospitality guidance and a touch of H & S knowledge. Would we stop again 50/50 depending on cost and availability elsewhere.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate us and no request was too much. Great guys, highly recommend

The beds were very comfortable.

The noise from the extraction fan in bathroom was loud and carried on for a long time afterwards. After reading great reviews for the breakfast I was disappointed with lack of availability, variety and temperature of items.
