Staff are lovely and very accommodating. There was some confusion over my breakfast time, but it was no big deal and resolved very quickly.

Very convenient for our family trip. Brand new comfortable mattress. Everything spotlessly clean. All hotel staff went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had everything we needed. The cleaners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Weekend entertainment in the bar was good and the letting rooms were in a separate part of the building so not noisy. There was a quiet lane behind the car park perfect for walking our dog.

The decor could have been improved a bit and an armchair would have been good.

Obviously this is a pub, my misfortune to be staying on a night with a very loud function on the Saturday, my room was next to the function room and the bass was so loud various appliances were rattling and I could feel it through the mattress. Only until midnight. If this sort of thing might bother you, maybe think again.

My husband and I booked late as we had just come from the hospital due to our son having an operation. We were tired and worried and my husband didn’t want to drive home. The proprietor at the hotel inferred that we were having a liason ( we had no luggage etc) I did put him right, but I though it was very rude.
