Tiniest room I’ve ever stayed in. There was a mattress in reception. I had to call someone as no one came to the door after I rung it twice (around 6pm). The toilet didn’t flush

Absolutely nothing

This is a property Aron Guest House. I had booked for Friday 5th Dec to study in the evening before an important course the following morning. When I first turned up the property had a foul smell throughout and the carpets were absolutely filthy, I honestly don’t believe they have ever seen a hoover. They then explained they had double booked my room and had let somebody else in it. They then asked if I would stay in a small room instead with a leaking toilet and allow the plumber in to repair as they had no other rooms.I said yes initially as I was worried I had nowhere else to stay and needed to study. When I got to the room it was little bigger than the single bed. The carpets were absolutely disgustingly filthy!!!!!! I can honestly say I do both believe them or any of the others throughout the property had ever been hoovered. The bathroom had a leaking toilet and was filthy throughout with a serious build up of limescale everywhere which I believe was hygienically unsafe. I was extremely upset and stressed when I told the owner I had nowhere else alternative but to leave and find another property with no notice. She explained that I would have to contact booking.com for a refund which I am currently trying to do. I have found this experience to be extremely distasteful and upsetting. I have then had to pay additional money through the booking.com app which I am now in along with having to get here with my luggage.

My room was up in the roof space and very cosy, apart from the lighting. The central heating was very good and the shower excellent. It was also very quiet and the views were an added bonus. The location is excellent for both the tube and bus.

The lighting was very harsh, too bright for me, so some lamps would have been welcomed.

They were helpful with car parking for all day after checkout.

It was near the tube station

No soap in bathrooms. Filthy everywhere. Cramped bathrooms. Bare mattress in reception room. Loud. Just horrible. Avoid at all costs.
