"nice cozy village setting with easy access to southern Lake District"

The house is really nice and thoughtfully decored. Host lives next door and very helpful.

Approach to the property is really tricky. You have a bushy rightangled allyway connected to a 70mph A road on a bend. Going off the A road is still ok, but getting on the A road is really risky, especially if you want to go the other side. Not for the fainthearted. Besides, there is no nearby shop to get, say tea bags (the house does not have any such things) - so plan ahead.
