All Suites Appart Hôtel Bassin d'Arcachon - Dune du Pilat

Nous avions réservé deux nuits à l’hôtel le temps d’un week-end en famille . Réceptionniste très agréable et accueillante . L’appartement était spacieux avec une grande terrasse donnant sur le lac ..cette appartement doit être très sympa l’été !et un vrai plus lorsque nous avons des enfants.L’hôtel est situé à deux pas d’une zone commerciale tout à proximité ..pas besoin de prendre la voiture! Pour le côté négatif le canapé clic clac du salon devrait être changé ..nous avons très mal dormi ,il fait beaucoup de bruit ,cela fait un creux au niveau des reins ..hyper désagréable ..j’ai malheureusement très mal dormi pendants ces deux jours .Il manque une poubelle dans la salle de bain et le tiroir était bloqué pour ranger nos affaires de toilettes ..à 5 ça aurait été un petit plus !

La chambre que nous avions réserver a été entièrement rénové , surpris les carrelages de la salle de bain a été cassées et fissurés voir ci - joint photo.

The receptionist spoke English and was very helpful. The apartment was adequate for our needs for an overnight stay. There were a couple of things that should have been picked up by cleaning staff (a curtain hanging off the rail and a non-working extractor in the toilet) and I did report back to reception about this and a note was made. Hopefully these will be rectified before the next guests take up residence. Overall the rooms cleanliness was good. We never used the kitchen or utensils so I’ve no idea about this aspect. The pool was good and we did all have a swim. To sum up: for a short stay this was excellent value for money.

The staffs at reception are very helpful. They know Archachon well and can give good and useful advices! The cafe machine in the room is worn out.

I was amazed that the services can be so rude and bad. We arrived before the check in time, we arrived at 12pm , we have the reason to ask for an earlier check-in as there is a wedding ceremony atfer. We know it might be hard to have our room that early but the staffs in the reception they are just very rude! ”Sorry we don't have room for you, it's like this.” We asked for can you arrange one of your staff to clean our room frist? We know maybe u are still cleaning...” ” Sorry, we can't. You can leave your number and we will call u as soon as possible.” My bf got a shirt has to iron, one of the staff said is okay to borrow us something to iron. So we waited in our car for the call like 1 hr and half but no ones call us vack. It's the time to go to the wedding and another staff doesn't want to lend us the iron to iron, and the behavior was very rude! Finally we managed to have our room. Everything was okay but I am surprise the hotels has no air conditioner. It was very hot that day and it's hot as hell in the night time. Over all not recommend.

We stayed for two nights. The first night we didn’t sleep well as the property very hot, and the apartment was on the ground floor with only sliding doors (to the car park), no windows, so it was impossible to get any fresh air. At 5.55 a.m. we were woken by a very loud clanging and clattering which turned out to be a delivery truck unloading fresh linen, which was parked immediately outside our apartment. The noise went on for 40 minutes, it was impossible to sleep through. When reception opened I went to request a change of room. The hotel was fully booked so they couldn’t move us, so I asked if the linen van came every day as if it did we didn’t want to stay the second night. The receptionist didn’t know, but said we wouldn’t be given a refund for the unused night if we didn’t stay anyway! Our children were in the bedroom and their beds were comfortable. My husband and I on the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable. The apartment was not clean, the utensils sticky, the floor gritty. I do not recommend staying here.

Check-In from 16.00, we arrived at 17.30 but where told that the room wasn’t ready. Receptionist seemed overcharged and said he doesn’t know when the room would be available and after i asked again in disbelief, he said one to two hours and that we can wait a few minutes and he would let us know. After being ignored for almost an hour beside the reception and asking again, we were finally given another room but key card was not updated so had to go back to reception again. Family apartment for 4 persons w/2 rooms one w/2 single beds and the other w/a make-shift sofa bed with a broken spring below it. No bedside-tables, lights or power sockets beside the bed. Just a few leafs of TP left in the bathroom and back at the reception to ask for more, the guy looked at me like i was asking for drugs and asked me "why"? Apartment was on the ground floor, windows couldn’t not be opened and huge parking place directly in front of them was light up brightly all night, shining through the gaps of the curtain. Until about midnight, repeatedly loud noise not just from flushing the upstairs toilet, but it also sounded like someone would keep emptying buckets full of water into the tub above us. Been in Paris a week earlier at almost the same room rate for a very pleasing experience. With many countries and hotels visited and taking chances by booking hotels at the lower end of the price scale, we’re not asking for much, but finally found a place which we definitely don’t want to revisit.

Good location, access to local facilities, comfortable and well equipped apartments, and great value.
