Hampton Inn Marquette-Waterfront

Waterfront property was beautiful. Cleanliness of room and hot tub were poor. Breakfast was good some days not good on others. I am very upset with expedia and hotel for not including pet fee at booking. We were informed one day ahead that we would have to pay an extra $75 at a pet friendly hotel.

This was our first trip to Marquette, and staying at the Hampton Inn truly made it a memorable one. We spent six nights here, and the spacious room made it perfect for our family—never once did we feel cramped. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the staff’s upkeep every two days added a great touch of comfort and care. We were lucky to have a lakeside view, and waking up to the sunrise through the Lower Harbor Ore Dock each morning was absolutely breathtaking. The location couldn’t have been better—close to downtown, near all our planned excursions, and just minutes from larger supermarkets for any snacks or forgotten essentials. What really stood out was the staff. From check-in to check-out, every single person we interacted with was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It made a big difference and added a personal touch to our stay. We also made great use of the 24-hour fitness center, pool, and hot tub—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Without a doubt, this will be our go-to place whenever we return to the U.P. Highly recommended!

Room size, exceptional view from room window. Easy parking. Bathroom well maintained, and clean. Great location, near center of downtown activities.

The view from this hotel is just fabulous. Just to stare at the water from our room was so very relaxing. Very clean. Staff very friendly. Nice large parking area.

This is a typical Fairfield Inn with free breakfast, pool, gym, etc. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful. The best attribute is the location. We were a 15-20 minute walk from a dozen or more restaurants and multiple attractions. The walk into town is a multi-purpose trail along the lake! (or you can walk the city streets). There is also a fabulous party store (convenience store) a 5 minute walk away with fresh foods along with beer, wine, liquor. We booked a room with a partial lake view, but I would have called it a total lake view (although there are trees along the shoreline).

Great location, with a nice terrace and just next to the path out to the pier that juts out into the water. Easy to walk into town. Hampton consistency. Room was nice but my back was hurting and I had hoped there would be an easy chair. Kyler at the desk went the extra mile to make that happen. What a kind welcome!

Water views close to everything

Our room was nice, quiet, and comfortable. We had a nice view of Lake Superior and a very short drive (1-2 minutes) for downtown parking along the street. The downtown Marquette are is cute with alot of shops, dining, and a couple of one of a kind cafés. The town feels safe with people walking up and down and shopping on the streets. E.H.
