"Haven in Poio"

Such a great value and comfort, so much better to get out of the congestion and unease of ugly Pontevedra and into this quieter Poio neighborhood while trekking the Spiritual Variant of the Camiño Português. Accustomed to crowded hostels, we enjoyed the privacy of a hotel. Our hostesses were very helpful to Pilgrims with access to scanner and printer and so tolerant of our use of the dining area.

Nothing. It was a good choice, more private and comparably priced to private albergues, it was a good choice for a group of 12 pilgrim's, especially in rooms with three beds. The next morning was very rainy, so we delayed our departure and had a most magical visit to Monastery of San Xuan de Poio and the picturesque seaside village of Combarro before our walk up the mountain to Armenteira.
