It was so lovely to arrive here after our journey from Gothenburg. The kitchen was large and there were good facilities and tables. There was a good supermarket nearby and it wasn't a particularly difficult walk to the centre of Karlstad. We were able to walk here from the bus and train station quite easily, despite having large backpacks.

The alarm went off at 1am and woke us up. We weren't quite sure what was happening, so we gathered downstairs at the front of the hostel. It turned out that it was a false alarm. We did get a chance to see the Swedish Firefighters.

It’s a really cosy and quiet place to stay in Carlstad. The lady at the reception is the kindest person I've met in Sweden. The breakfast that she prepared was quite filling as well. The place has a big kitchen and lots of utensils at your disposal. The rooms and lavatories were extremely clean. You can use the public transport or you can just walk to reach the hostel. I personally walked and it’s a walkable distance from the city center. Make sure to bring your own sheets or you can just rent them at the reception. Overall 10/10

The elevator was a bit dodgy but it worked just fine.

Hyggelig personale, koselig frokost og ok fine bad. Hele bygget har et historisk og fint preg over seg som gamle hovedbygningen til en militærkaserne. Rommet var litt stusselig og kunne vært oppgradert noe med enkle grep.
