Leda Village Resort

The natural beauty of the place is not enough to compensate bad management and poor outdated facilitties. We visited this place for a 4th time BUT will never come back! Not enqough loungers / sunbeds on the beach. Guests getting up as early as 6 am to "reserve" with their towels loungers and beach umbrella - ridiculous! Or I suppose some of them were doing this even from the previous night and this was tolerated by the staff. The beach is very small, rocks and middle-sized pebbles - not comfortable without any beach equipment at all! The resort's solution was to put some additional loungers on a stone paved ground away from the beach near some kind of storage rooms even with no view to the sea!

Purple jellyfish appeared in the sea and we were not advised of its presence and how dangerous it is at all! I was swimming less than a meter from a couple of them the morning they appeared then I read online (very difficultly as the Wi-Fi is awfully slow) how dangerous they are. God bless a boy from the guests with a paddle board and a fishing net on a stick that caught most of the jellyfishes around the beach! No reaction from the resort's staff at all! Resort's solution came days after the appearance of the jellyfish - they put a floating net surrounding abou 100 m2 from the sea. Our studio was in tragic conditions with a small fridge with broken shelves and an electrical stove from late 1990s - a true miracle they were still working! Dirty dishes and a frying pan looking like it has survived Second World War. They have saved from the wall paint and the traces from the flood in 2023 were still visible on the walls. Blocked drainage in the bathroom on both bath floor and sink. The bathroom was also from the late 1990s with a very dirty bathtub and a disgusting curtain. One of the two heavy iron lamps on the ceiling was hanging very dangerously just on the sticked electrical cables! After a couple of days there was a smell of burnt electrical cables and this lamp stopped working! Our small patio has a nice sea view but no shade and it was impossible to be used under the direct sun. The only time we can stay on the patio was early morning but exactly at that time all the garbage from the cleaned rooms in that part of the resort was put in bags in front of our patio. So we had a nice sea view behind bags of garbage, feeling like we stay in the service room! No chair cushions for the outdoor chairs and no beach towels were provided. Wi-Fi was on one router for a large part of the resort, so slow that it was practically useless!

The resort is beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable in all respects. The music was non-invasive and relaxing. Breakfast was good and sunbeds are free of charge.

A lot of the rooms are a fair walk uphill so bear that in mind when booking. Also, there were jelly fish throughout our stay but that's nothing to do with the resort itself. They simply flooded the entire gulf.

Awful food at breakfast - old products, poor quality (egg. milk was mixed with water!!, even the olives smelled badly), no variety, dirty dishes and tables, dead bugs near the tables. The resort is old ... just well painted at the exterior but old... very old facilities (ex. playground, sports field etc.). We have rented a superior room but there was nothing "superior" in it - an old fridge, the air conditioner poured water, broken nets, dirty exterior. Cleaning is very superficial (just took the garbage once in 2 days ... we had to call the reception to require them to change the towels etc.) Everyday, the cleaning crew place the garbage collected from other rooms in front of our door (I suppose because it was in the back). The beach is in fact a public beach with few sunbeds.... you have no chance to catch one free (people leave their towel from the night before). Definitely is not a 4 stars hotel!!! The pictures from booking.com and their website looks amazing comparing with the reality. The personal has no involvement in solving any issue / requirement. It's really a pity for the position of the resort and it's potential.

The beach and the bar restorant

Sea view. Pool and beach. Wi-Fi was ok. Room was big but shabby, old fashioned . Big private parking. Clean. Quite.

It was pre-season and location was not prepared. Overgrown in grass. Good for guests with car, there is noting around. Tap water is not for drinking. No shade on parking spot.

It was our second stay. The location is overall very good, between small cities, with beach access. They offer Greek breakfast. The villa we stayed in was enough for 5 persons. It had 2 bathrooms and a private pool.

Unfortunately we did not imagined that our villa would need upgrades/renovation, especially regarding all the drains (bathrooms and kitchen) which smelled really bad even though were used. Also, as we noticed, the AC was just ventilating and not cooling at all. And the mattress of the beds also need upgrades - they were not comfy at all The pool needs an inside light in the water otherwise is creepy at night. The breakfast needs variation - it is super weird and plain to eat for multiple days in a row the same products.
