Hotel Rural Can Vila

We stayed based on the photos and reviews, which were positive. We were expecting a 4 star accommodation, but for us it was a big disappointment. We liked the location, it is a beautiful place with fantastic views.

We didn't like the chaotic arrival at the facility, which apparently only deals with horse breeding and training. There was no one at the reception, it was not easy to call someone. The rooms are very run down, no one seems to care for them, dirty, shabby. The bathrooms also need renovation. There was a smell in the rooms, so we had to ventilate all night, but outside there was a smell from the stables. We understand that the hotel is mainly used by people with horses, but this should be stated and the hotel definitely does not meet the 4-star standard

Friendly helpful staff. Clean cosy room with a very comfortable bed and a good size bathroom. Beautuful location and a lovely old building set in a busy award winning equestrian yard. Easy to find and not too far from the motorway. This was a one night stop on the way south but we wished we could have stayed longer to relax and explore.
