Hotel Tivoli Maputo

I really enjoyed my stay here, I had to extend and was happy to stay instead of moving. The hotel is nice and clean, breakfast is quite decent too! The only downsides I can think of are a lack of many TV stations (although it's a 1080P HD TV, so bring your own media device!). Also, if you smoke, you must stand outside by the street, which means you get pestered by street sellers. Right beside the shopping centre though, which is very convenient!

Tivoli Maputo is een redelijk hotel. Iets te duur voor de faciliteiten, maar wel gelegen in een redelijke buurt met een winkelcentrum en restuarants met terrasjes. Schone kamers en redelijk ontbijt. Verder nauwelijks faciliteiten.Slecht is dat er nog voor wifi betaald moet worden: 14 US$ per 24 uur.

We were very disappointed with the service at the hotel. The first night we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the meals came almost an hour and a half after we had ordered from the menu. The next day our room was not cleaned at all! We left for our meeting and returned in the afternoon to find our room not cleaned. I went to reception and told them that our room was not cleaned and that we are getting some lunch and requested our room be cleaned in the meantime. When we returned our room was still not cleaned. We went out for dinner and when we came back the room had still not been cleaned. The worst I have ever experienced.

I have stayed in many hotels in Maputo over the last year. Most of them were either extremely expensive or in a terrible condition. This hotel offers great value in a central location. The staff are absolutely fantastic.

Good services, helpful staff and good clean rooms at a reasonable price "for Maputo".

Reception is not what i thought it was, room was very clean , the room service was complicated because i don't speak their languages but really nice , the breakfast is limited

The hotel is nice, clean and the staff are friendly. The room is kept very clean and is comfortable except for a little bit of noise every now and then from the streets below (car racers especially). The Breakfast was alright with the usual stuff like eggs, bacon, bread, fruits cereals etc... The hotel is located not too far from a large shopping centre with a number of other shops. Main eating places are a few blocks away, with one or two a bit closer. The only issues that I have with this hotel is that it is a bit too expensive for a 3 star hotel! I have stayed in 4 & 5 star hotels in Nairobi for less! Oh well... and the wi-fi is not very reliable. I bought a voucher and only managed to use internet for a few minutes the first day and couldn't again for the next 3 days until I left!... The TV had only two english channels, but they were entertaining! I would stay there again, although I am going to try some of the small guest houses on my next trips!

A nice breakfast and room with an aircon that works and is clean. There is a large enough electronic safe in the room. A South African wall socket next to the local one was a surprise. Everything was clean enough and newly refurbished. Overall a nice shield from an otherwise grim city.
