Desk clerk asked for a $100 deposit (i.e. actually charging the card and refunding it a few days later) though he really pushed for a cash deposit. It didn’t seem quite right to me and I didn’t like the vibe from the place so we just walked away from our prepaid reservation and found something else down the road. The fellow wasn’t rude or anything and the place seemed clean, but maybe it was the bulletproof glass in the lobby and the non-standard deposit that set me off.

Room was comfortable clean staff was very professional and pleasant I only got half of my deposit back no reason given or email about the why I only got half back

The quietness and breakfast

Not a quiet overnight experience. The heater/AC unit was very loud. The door weather stripping was poorly installed and the traffic and out side chatter was disturbingly loud.

The room was comfortable for 3 adults. The breakfast was convenient and well attended.

Overall, the photos from the hotel, give it the idea that it’s a decent hotel upon lodging you’ll find it to be in a very noisy traffic prone area of Sacramento. There is constantly cars trucks and emergency vehicles passing on the main street of the facility on my first night stay there was a scent in the room that made it feel stale or very dry, somewhat hard to breathe after circulating the air for a few hours it’s subsided a bit later in the evening. I did happen to notice a roach appear killed it and did not see anymore that remaining night. The bed isn’t stationary so it moves somewhat the AC/heat console does not get the room as hot or warm as one may desire , only going up to 78° but there is a draft from the window and under the door. The seals need to be replaced. You can tell that the hotel is an older building and upon new ownership renovations were done simplistically paint over rusted door knobs, and hinges versus them being replaced , the sheets had burn marks and the towels had make up stains. I would say if this is a last resort fine book this place but if you plan to stay more than just a night, it is definitely not worth $180 will not return.
