"The Wilderness Club Adventure"

8.0

The Wilderness Club is isolated but worth a trip to experience the vastness of Montana. WC is located in Eureka, MT, a small town with limited dining options so plan to dine at the resort or rent a cottage with a kitchen. The golf course is the highlight of the resort. It is beautifully conditioned , as the cool nights allow the grass to flourish. The course is fair and challenging and should be enjoyable for all handicap levels. Greens fees are reasonable for a course of this quality. The hotel units are spacious but the rugs have to be replaced by rustic vinyl similar to the bathroom area, as they give a bad first impression. The breakfasts are quite good with a nice variation from wraps to pancakes. Lunch is served at the "Snack Shack" adjacent to the pool complex. It serves basic items-brats, dogs, burgers. The dinner menu is limited with only 3 entrees -steak, pot roast and a pasta dish although one evening, there was a chicken special, which was very good. The pool area is small but will keep the kids interest as the slide is fast, The adjacent lake has a tall floating inflatable island , that will challenge the more adventurous visitors The Wilderness Club is the ideal location for a family or buddies golf trip Other than the rugs and limited dinner menu, The WC provides a lot to do for a family but even more for golfers, as the course will exceed your expectations

"Good stay but room for improvement "

8.0

The resort grounds are beautiful and well kept. My husband said golfing was great. Kids really liked the water slide and inflatables at the lake. Definitely bring your bike and/or scooters to ride around the property. Room was very clean with the most comfortable bed! Staff was very nice, but the only reason for some negative review was there was a planned power outage (kinda weird) and fire alarm went off at 4 am and there was no staff anywhere to help. I called 3 numbers, including emergency number listed and no one answered. The noise was so awful and wouldn’t stop that we packed up and left. Overall really fun time with family. But the resort really needs staff onsite 24/7 for emergencies. You are in the middle of no where, so it’s a little scary if you can’t get help from the hotel either.

It is a beautiful property, quiet with great views! Quite a few amenities if you know what and where they are. Wish they would have given us a map when we arrived with a list of amenities. Golfing was great even after they lost our reservation. Very few food/drink options, so be prepared to go into the small town of Eureka to eat.

"New Favorite Mountain Getaway "

Great! More remote than I was expecting, but an amazing place for a getaway. No horses this year because of Covid, but you can still ride horses in the town of Eureka. Plan for a rental car and groceries while you are there, and plan to paddle-board in the resort lake! I'll be back for sure.

Well designed resort that is finally growing into its original design and potential after weathering the effects of the past real estate collapse. Would highly recommend this remote yet gorgeous destination.

Great Dinner. Nice Big Rooms. Terrific shower except for the rocks used for the floor. Not good if you have sore feet. Terrific Golf Course.

More signage would be helpful. Finding the resort was a little hard
