Room was cery spacious and the view is amazing for sunsets! The staff are very nice and helpful! Be aware that the rooms are spread out and separate from the reception area. You may have to go up the hill if your room is further up, but the views totally make up for it!

The room was amazing. Clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again no doubt about it. The location is perfect. Quiet and a 10 min walk to all the shoos and restaurants.

Probably one of the best views in Monteverde. The staff is also extremely nice, especially the host at the restaurant. The two issues I had was (1) the shower never got hot, even when using for the first time (2) there were many spiders/bugs I had to kill in my room. Keep in mind there is no a/c so you will likely want to leave your windows open which will almost inevitably lead to bugs.

Hotel Ficus is a nice hotel with walkability (though returning up a steep hill) to Santa Elena, the city near Monteverde. It was a great base for activities at Selvatura Adventure Park. The lodge feel of our room was lovely, and there was a great view, as the hotel sits on top of the hill. We watched a thunderstorm over the valley one evening from our the balcony. Breakfast was nice, and the hotel is practicing safe COVID protocols.
