Peermont Metcourt at Frontier, Bethlehem

We had two nights at the Frontier Peermont Hotel, it’s a larger hotel and it’s very well kept, all the staff are friendly and very helpful. The bedrooms are well kept and comfortable. We were assured that the Casino would not cause any problems and they were right we never heard any noise at all. The Beef Baron Restaurant is renowned for Steak which suited my husband and he enjoyed them with relish, I’m not a Steak person and I’m often sceptical when restaurants highlight a particular food I needn’t have been I had lamb shank and oxtail dinners and both were superb . Breakfast is super too, that’s if you manage a full breakfast. We had one exceptional waiter on both evenings, I wish I could remember his name, he’d only been working in the restaurant three months he’d been promoted from housekeeping, we did compliment him to the Restaurant Manager. He was a delight super efficient, friendly and we enjoyed chatting to him, the young man will do well in the hospitality industry. The secure car parking is a bonus too. The location of the hotel is great too, with a shopping centre within easy walking distance. We were advised by the Receptionist to visit Clarens, we’d love the shops, we went it’s not far and what shops they’re amazing, there are plenty of restaurants although the most popular must be the Clarens Brewery Restaurant.

The breakfast was very delicious and served hot. I liked the location because we were close to the mall. It was even easier to get around.

The breakfast was nice however, the waiter did not allow us to swap what we did not eat to what we want. The waiter was also not informed that our breakfast was unlimited and we were only informed when we were checking-out that our breakfast was unlimited. We were very unhappy because we we re told we will pay anything extra from our pockets.

I got to the hotel to find that I had no room, around 21h00, having driven a car for 4 hours in the rain. The hotel sent me to a guesthouse of their choice. They refused to refund me. In the morning they told me that hotels.com agreed with them that they owe me no apology! No refund. I tried to lodge a protest with hotels.com, all in vain. The guesthouse I was sent to has a reception that close s at 21h00.So only a guard was available to let me in. Restaurant closed. Bar closed. TV was not working at all. So I had an extremely uncomfortable time there. People, I chose a specific hotel, why did I get mistreated like that? With Hotels.com in collusion?

Our stay was great thank you very friendly, helpful staff! We were a little early but it was no problem. The restaurant was great to and breakfast was awesome.

It is a 3 star hotel. The biggest hotel within Bethlehem which is located on the main road of the town but yet intimate and well kept. The rooms are spacious consisting of a shower and bath.No buffet service is available at the restaurant for both supper and breakfast. But you can still enjoy their Alacarte menu seclection. The hotel is a walking distance from the mall. The challenge was the sewerage smell but guess this could be a general problem within the town because it was experienced in a number of places that i visited

Good place to overnight

EXCELLENT LITTLE HOTEL - if you have to pick a venue in Bethlehem - make this your choice - hotel is small but well equipped - rooms are clean / elegant - breakfast is served at the "SPUR RESTAURANT" that is part of the complex - and there is a well lit path to the newly built shopping mall 300 meters away if you need choices for restaurants - the Casino is small and may provide an hour's worth of entertainment.. - will stay here again for sure.
