When we arrived the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. The aircons were working which was a bonus for me because it was cold and I do not like to be cold.

The fact that my room was on the ground and the cars from the street made it difficult for me to fall asleep, but I guess there's nothing to be done as it is the location of the hotel. My problem was that in the early hours I woke up to go to the bathroom and my room was flooded, water everywhere and I had to clean it because I could not move around in the water and it was around 04h30am. I don't even know where the water came from and apparently it was not only us. I just thank God I did not live my laptop bag on the floor otherwise it would have been a disaster for me.

We had reserved multiple rooms for a group of approximately 10 family members, including two young children, and arrived at the resort after a long drive from Johannesburg, expecting to settle in for the evening. Unfortunately, the experience from the moment we arrived was extremely disappointing and distressing. The first room allocated to us had a severe cockroach infestation. We immediately raised this concern with staff and were shown alternative rooms. However, the second and third rooms we inspected also had visible cockroaches and appeared unclean and poorly maintained. At that point, it became clear that the issue was not isolated to a single room. Beyond the condition of the accommodation itself, what added significantly to our frustration was the lack of urgency, empathy, and practical assistance from the resort staff and management. Despite travelling with exhausted family members and two distressed toddlers late in the evening, no meaningful solution was offered. We were neither provided with suitable alternative accommodation nor assisted with an immediate refund that would have enabled us to secure another place to stay without additional stress and inconvenience. As a result, after 8pm at night, we were forced to source and pay for entirely new accommodation elsewhere at short notice. This caused considerable disruption, financial inconvenience, and emotional stress for our family at the end of an already long day of travel.
