Guangzhou Meigang Hotel

客房空间不错，员工服务可以，2楼餐厅食物种类多，份量够，味道很好，附近超市卖的货品种类多。但是酒店离地铁站有一段距离，拉行李去酒店有点吃力，建议出发入住前要作好充足準备。

A truly fantastic stay! This hotel is a hidden gem. The area is incredibly clean and lively, especially in the mornings, which was a great way to start the day. The building itself is brand new and has its own separate entrance, which made checking in and out really easy. It's clear they take pride in the property. I highly recommend it!

沐浴室的地下有浸水問題, 而且漏水問題嚴重, 沖涼後浴室就差不多全濕, . 2間房也有同一問題. 櫃子內有很多灰塵. 但房間也算大.

If you have any standards please do NOT book this hotel! went from bad to worse as soon as we checked in!!!! the damp was unreal, the mould on the wall was everywhere, even the wall paper was coming off! after we checked in we soon checked out after only a 2 hour stay want was meant to be 6 days!!! PLEASE PLEASE do not book here as you will be 100% disappointed!!!

The hotel worked OK, was a reasonable price and not too far from Canton Fair or other parts of town

We were on a business trip to the canton fair and decided to stay at meigang hotel this time. First mistake, I believed the location given on Tripadvisor. Google maps is correct. Taxi driver took us in circles around the area and then blamed us for giving him wrong address. The place looked descent. Rooms are just ok. Small tv with nothing much to watch. The lady at the reception was trying to help us but did not know any English at all. A VPN subscription and Google translate saved us. The beds looked nice. Large springs, but the top layer was like a wire mesh. No foam or cushion support. Had a back ache every night. One day the bathroom had no hot water. Other days it was fine. Breakfast buffet looks ok. But it's not edible. I could smell the noodles from me the whole day after eating them. Tea was tea on two days out of five days. Other days they just had some milk mixed in hot water. It was white in colour and one of those days they also put a board saying juice in front of it. I don't know what I drank. I thought bread butter jam will help me survive buy the jam had expired 5 months ago. Eggs were overboiled. They had garnished sweet cake with chicken floss which had a savoury-sweet flavour. Not quite edible and that flavour in my mouth didn't let me eat anything else that day. Everyday was a surprise, food looked same everyday but you will never know what was filled in the same food. Like buns filled with red chillies, or with red bean paste (sweet) or chicken floss. I will never forget the food I ate in this place. The good thing was the shuttle service they offer for the canton fair. Two busses every morning and also return busses from the venue. We were provided with fresh towels and room slippers everyday. Strangely the tiny soap was not given everyday. Had to manage with two soaps for the whole week.

Let me make it simple: DO NOT stay at this hotel, DISGUSTING place! Runned down rooms, bad smell, ugly neighborhood, leaking toilets, no safe box! I left the same day I checked it, luckly they refunded me the money for the other nights. Ended up paying for 1 night + 5% credit card fee on the total stay amount. But NEVER again, don't be fooled by the photos!
