"Small, clean hotel very close to city center "

8.0

I booked this hotel last minute because I decided to stay an extra night in Porto. I had a single room which was a bit cramped, but it was the only one available. The room had all the basic amenities and it was very clean. There was a nice walk-in shower in the bathroom. The woman at reception was kind enough to call a taxi for me at 5:30am so I could catch a bus. Complimentary breakfast was offered, but I left too early to take advantage of it.

"Poor"

4.0

Very good location, 10 min walking from Bolhao metro station. Steep and narrow stairs don't make it convenient to climb with a luggage. Both ladies at the reception desk were very nice and helpful. Room: we had a room at 2nd floor with a window and bathroom inside (literally). Bathroom was in the closet ( really, look at the pictures I've added), and the doors were also like those in closets - sliding- so there was basically no privacy, however it was very clean. Distance between toilet and bed was 1,5m. Walls and doors were thin so we could hear everyone walking through the hallway. There was a lantern just outside our window, so curtains had to be closed tightly at night. On the other hand bed was comfy, wifi worked, TV worked, there were even some English channels like BBC Entertainment, room was cleaned everyday. Breakfasts: included and always the same. We stayed for a week and every time there were baguettes, ham, cheese, orange juice, tea, coffee, jam, croissant-like thing and mini muffins. No vegetables nor fruits. There was an old man who was walking around during a breakfast and watching us eating, and when food run over, he was bringing some more, but not much more, just enough for 1-2 more people. So sometimes there were and impression that u can't eat more. Breakfast was from 8 to 10, but around 9.30 cleaning lady was showing up and she was making a noise like we were disturbing her. At 9.59 she was yelling "fini, fini", and instantly taking cloths off the tables which was irritating. What's more, kitchen was supposed to be available all the time but after breakfast everything was hidden even the kettle! at 10PM they were turning lights off. There was a microwave but there's no oven or cooker so u can't prepare a dinner anyway.

"Porto bei feet"

8.0

Very central and nice house, but without elevator. If you come with heavy luggage you will have to carry it all the stairs up alone...The owner is very professional but not really friendly with small kids. For a family ist not so comfortable. We had a good time anyway.

"Give two days maximum"

8.0

The breakfast was very very simple. From outside, the hotel looks like a warn dawn hostel, but when you enter, it is fully renovated. The room was really nice, clean and cozy. The hotel is a 6min walking distance to trinidad station where all the metro lines connect. Easy walk. From there we took a metro everywhere including the airport (35min). Porto is a small city and we also walked to a lot of places. Nice small historic city. Needs 2 days maximum.

"Fabulos"

10.0

I stayed here for couple of nights with one of my friends. It was a very good price for a really nice place to stay if you are a tourist. More than this the place is clean and cozy. I totally recomand it.

"Perfect!"

10.0

Gorgeous old house, sympathetically updated. Exceptional value for money with a decent, if repetitive breakfast. Seek out the little garden for some quiet time in the sun. A wee bit out of the town centre, but in a decent enough area with all amenities close by

"Avoid this one. Bed bugs, bad service misleading info,"

2.0

Horrible place, don't go. Information and pictures provided is very misleading. Nasty lady at the counter who did not speak english, kept on yelled and screamed at me because i did not inderstand. Very very rude. Refused to take credit card, demanded cash prepayment at check in. Breakfast consists of some rolls, a few slices of ham and cheese. I was told that i can only eat one roll. Wifi does not really work in the rooms. Many many narrow stairs from entrance to rooms, impossible if you have luggage. I also got bitten by bed bugs and have pictures to prove it.

"Bedbugs all over! Do not go here."

2.0

This is the single worst hotel (it shouldn't even be called a hotel) ever stayed. I got bitten by some sort of bedbugs all over. No a/c, a steep staircashe to get to reception AND another steep staircase to room with no lift. No privacy: My room had only one window to the staircase that others can see inside my room as they go up and down the stairs but it was too hot to close it. Owners were terrible. I dragged my bag through a steep staircase to get to the reception when I arrived and the person at the reception me screamed at me in Portugese which i could not understand, it turned out that she was telling me to go back down and close the entrance door properly. It was absolutely ridiculous!

"Weekend break Porto"

6.0

Perfect weekend break budget accommodation cheap and cheerfully extremely clean and staff happy to help with anything. I originally had a room without a window as I think that is the single however next night they moved me into a much better room for no extra cost. It is perfect location for discovering beautiful porto.
