Walking distance to ferry terminal, great pubs and restaurants. Lots of walking trails. Great place to stay. Staff friendly and extremely helpful

Had a really lovely few days staying in Windermere at Beaumont House. The room was great for us, staff were really friendly and the cooked breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect for a trip down to Bowness and up to Grasmere and there were plenty of nice places to eat nearby. Would definitely recommend to any couple wanting a nice relaxing break in the Lakes!!

"Welcoming and lovely"

I stayed at the Beaumont with my partner for three nights, and we couldn't have asked for more. We were met by the owner upon arrival, and we were made to feel very welcome (offered tea/coffee almost immediately). Yes, the decor may be slightly on the oldy worldy side, however this added to charm of the building. After having a great chat with the owner, who give us a bit of information about the area we were shown to our room (we arrived early, but this wasn't a problem for Denise). We went for a superior room and whilst not on same level as a hotel, it was large and very comfortable. It was also very clean, and it had a great en-suite with a fabulous shower. The room had a decent size TV with a DVD player which was a great bonus. Breakfast was lovely. We were warned upon arrival that there could be a delay on breakfast if they dining room was full, but we didn't experience any delay at all, and the lady who mainly served us was very helpful and friendly. She didn't keep anyone waiting, and was always on hand to top up tea and coffee if needed. The choice of breakfast was great. and we highly recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Cooked to perfection!!. We look forward to staying at the Beaumont if we ever visit Windermere again. Thank you Denise and Team for making us feel so welcome.
