Hotel Dell'Orologio

Went to location listed to meet person to assign us a room and it was closed. There was dog poop by door and no light. Called telephone number and a man answered who spoke little English. A women showed up 10 minutes later and let us into dark office She spoke no English. We asked to cancel and get a refund as we did not like the abandoned look of the place. We called booking.com to help cancel. The customer service team couldn’t communicate either. The hotel refused to give us a refund. This was 4th reservation at B&B in Sicily and all spoke English and gave instructions on how to self check-in. This one should not be represented by Booking.com.

Absolutely nothing everything was great

location and the good predisposition of the staff ; the rooms are bigger than we supposed

the hotel is located in a pedestrian and ascending street; no parking lot. We had heavy luggage so it was hard to carry it from the public parking lot where we had to park the car . The room had a bit musty smell

The property is in an amazing town with much history. The biggest problem is access. We made reservations five months before we arrived and at that time we requested a room on a lower floor, knowing the topography of the town and that some rooms had many steps. My wife and I are not kids but when we arrived, after not being met at the train station as promised we had to carry our bags up about 75-100 steps to our room. The room was large was and clean and after several attempts at resetting the WiFi, we settled in. The hotel appears empty but we could not change rooms. We we’re definitely the only guests left, upon checking out. I would not recommend unless you were guaranteed a room on a lower floor especially if stairs are an issue.
