Stunning little harbour. Beautiful views

We booked a room with an ocean view. The room had windows inside the children’s playground courtyard attached to the ping-pong table. At 6:30 parents happily decided to play ping pong so we had no sleep . The staff very friendly - gave us the worst room and multiplied by giving us a dinner table in the corner where you can’t enjoy the view too. Disappointed.

The design of the place is quite nice and the views over the water as well. The onsen is all wooden and has a very nice vibe to it as well.

The location is far from Ugata station, which I knew, but I had to take a taxi there and back which was an extra 4200 yen. I was expecting to take the shuttle, which I emailed about but never got a response from the property. When my check-in time approached and I still didn't receive a reply, I decided to call to ask. Although there is no mention of this on the website, the staff told me the shuttle is only for guests that have reserved meals at the hotel, which makes no sense to me. For the cost of the taxi I could've paid for the meal at the hotel and gotten the shuttle and not had to spend extra on a meal out. Secondly, the room I had was right beside the "play room", and there is a window with washi paper facing out onto it and no curtains. The lights in the play room are always on, so my room was very bright all night and I had to sleep with a yukata over my face to make it dark. I would advise bringing a sleep mask just in case.

This is a cozy old Ryokan. We stayed one night and had dinner and breakfast. The room we had overlooked the bay, and was beautiful both at night and morning. The have a very nice huge bathhouse split between women and men. We were there on a Friday night and the spa was empty. We had it to ourself on our respective sides and enjoyed the hot water. It was kind of funny as crabs live between the floorboards given how close to water the inn is. I almost got a heart attack when showering when one tried to get friendly with me, but ultimately he became my companion and I watched them curiously as I bathed

The food was ok, not the greatest but very decent, local certainly. Staff was very kind but felt a little fazed at needing to speak English at reception.

Cet endroit est tout simplement un petit paradis au bord de l’eau. Les équipes sont absolument adorables, et les équipements de très bon niveau. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent.

Le lieu du restaurant est très agréable, les repas sont copieux et bons. Navette gratuite proposée pour un aller et retour depuis la gare,ce qui est appréciable vu l'isolement de l'hôtel.

La chambre où nous étions logés était située dans une annexe moderne imitant certes la tradition (tatamis et futon) mais elle était absolument sans charme et sans vue agréable. L'o-furo qui était l'un des points d'attraction de cet hôtel sur les photos était hors service sans que nous en ayons été informés. Ce lieu est vraiment fait pour ceux qui ont une voiture. Le gérant, qui nous a aidés lors de la maladie de notre fils, peut sans doute appeler un taxi pour les déplacements mais cela reste peu pratique. Pour toutes ces raisons, nous avons trouvé que le rapport qualité prix n'était pas satisfaisant.

英虞湾の静かな辺りにある木造建築の宿。ゆったりのんびり過ごせるところです。宿の人も皆親切で優しい。お料理2食付きでお値打ち。地元食材を活かした和食が楽しめます。

部屋は木造の民宿レベルなので、隣の声が筒抜けです。運悪く隣室が中年男性グループで、何度もドアの開け閉め音が続き、話し声が響き、挙げ句の果てに大きな声いびきが朝まで聞こえ続けました。 イヤホン持ってきていてよかった。。宿泊施設場所の配置に配慮が欲しかったです
