Red Caboose Motel & Restaurant

This place will forever leave an imprint on my family! Our kids loved this place! The train caboose to stay in was perfect. They were clean, fun and fit our family of six so well! The Casey Jones Restaurant on the premise was delicious! The service was excellent! The grounds are beautiful and perfect location for anything you wish to do in Lancaster, PA. It was minutes from the Sight & Sound Theatre. Minutes from Dutch Wonderland, the Kettle Kitchen Village and so much more! Their petting zoo on site was such a highlight for our kids as well! I would highly recommend!!!

Everything about it.. the staff, room, peacefulness, that they had a car charging station..

The animals, the horses buggy ride, the Restaurants. The entire area, Amish families valley. The train museum and train ride.

The place is fun, mostly for kids or train enthusiasts. We did not eat at the diner located on site, but not for any negative reason. The grounds are nicely maintained and the cabooses are nicely maintained.

The caboose were assigned was missing a proper drain in the tub and it was all rotted. The caboose itself leaned to one side. None of this was horrid or caused us any grief, just little things. Remember, space is small…no closets or ironing boards or much space. But the conversions are well done (it was our second stay), and the beds a roomy enough. On site management is only there until 9pm each night. I recommend it for the fun and the whistle of the Strasburg Railroad train that passes directly in front of the property.
