Aochalong Villa Resort & Spa

some rooms are close to the beach but ours are just upstairs of the reception. one terrible thing was the shower, there was no hot water!!! the temperature shifted between hot and cold every 3 minutes!!! the location is very secluded, unless you rent a bike or car and take GPS or google map, you cannot find it.

I booked this for two relaxing nights away. I got just that. The hotel is in a quite secluded place and this is what I wanted. The two pools were amazing. The hotel offer a shuttle to the beach everyday, alternating between two different beaches. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. It is a nice place to relax.

My wife and I went to the resort for a honeymoon get away and were shocked by our Villa aka shack. The quality was below exceptional and the vibe did not give off romance nor safe. We stayed there for the first night on a mattress that felt like cardboard, only to be moved to a room that was more up to date but still with a hard mattress. The views were amazing once we got the new room and the staff were very pleasant and helpful!!! The disappointment came from the room but once we were moved , things began to look up.

This resort was nicely located little away from busy markets and it was a nice peaceful place. Once can enjoy their leisure fruitfully.

Nice and off the beaten path. The staff were all super friendly and Steve the guest relations manager was great. He was super helpful and polite. My only complaint is that when I turned on the water in the room. I would wait 1-5 minutes before I got any water flow. It varied on the length of the wait but it was at times frustrating.

The Thai staff here were very kind, but in general we found this experience lacking. There is very little around the hotel (except the highly rated Baan Noy restaurant thats about half a mile from the road entrance and is lovely.) Our room was boiling hot when we got in which does require a key to turn on the AC but other hotels with the same system cooled down our rooms before our arrival. The lobby and restaurant are both outside so beware of the heat. The beach is sludgy, full of little crabs, and has a washed up boat next door not to mention some serious construction. Also, fair warning travelers: we took the Phuket Ferry the next day to Koh Phi Phi and were told that the ferry wasn't in service and that we should use their guy instead, even though he had a less favorable time for us. Its not true, the ferries you find online work fine! Also, you may be told as we were, that there is no food around the hotel and you should just eat there. Also not true! Go to Baan Noy or even try some street food up the road.

This hotel was nice for the price. Quite happy with the stay. Having your own transportation, like a motorbike, makes the stay very enjoyable. The hotel is close to many things, but not walking close, but with a motorbike, easy to get everywhere. The thai food on the breakfast buffet was ok, the western food so so. Room was nice and clean. Comfortable bed. Big balcony with chairs and table. Safety box is available in the hotel office, accessible only between 8am to 6pm, which was a bit annoying compared to having it in your room with constant access.
