The Hedges Inn

We paid close to $700 per night on average. It was NOT worth it. It was noisy. The roads were congested. The employees at the wine bar below our room were horsing around late at night. Not one staff person even acknowledged our existence! We had no idea they had beach chairs and umbrellas to use. The floor in our room was uneven and frankly was a tripping hazard. No one told us there was a wine bar below us closing at 9pm but then they took 2 hours to clean up and then horse around. Because no one is monitoring the office after 7pm the employees (kids) were out of control. My husband had to go down there and break it up. I don’t recommend this place. I’m shocked that anyone has.

We enjoyed our stay. Wonderful breakfast and loved riding the bikes around town.

Very friendly staff and excellent service. Had to leave early in the morning, so they packed a nice breakfast for me. Newly renovated and tastefully done common area and dining room. Wish they served lunch and dinner though.

Loved our stay here! Just off the Main Street only 5 minute walk into town centre. First floor had a complete renovation in spring 2023. Would definitely recommend!

The property itself is beautiful and feels like you're staying in your own home. The rooms are clean and charming, and have all necessary amenities for a boutique stay. I will say that while communication leading up to and during the stay with the hotel staff was seamless and appreciated, it has been challenging to get in touch with the staff following my stay. I left something behind in my room and despite 3 emails and a voicemail message to the inn's manager, I never received any response from her. This was surprising because while I was staying at the property, I sent her an email message regarding the WIFI service and she responded almost immediately. However, once I checked out and inquired about a forgotten item (and offered to pay for shipping to return it to me), I received radio silence. This is rather off-putting and unfortunate to think that might message and personal item was not valued.

I found the property itself to be below expectations. Everything was passable, muffins at breakfast were not fresh and certainly not baked there. However, I the security is appalling as a woman, drunk and half clothed wandered into my room at 1:30AM, woke me up from a deep sleep, saying she wanted to stay in my room. I told her I don’t know her and she said “no, I saw you” and refused to leave. I then asked her what room she was staying in and she said room 2. I walked her back to her room, let her in, then was worried she was dangerously drunk and could not fall back to sleep. The doors do not lock automatically.

Excellent inn with complimentary breakfast included. The inn was very relaxing and cozy. We got upgraded last minute and it was a nice gesture. I was here with my partner to celebrate our anniversary and ordered champagne and flower. The hospitality and services was perfect. The location is 2 mins away from the main beach. There was a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. We were so happy and will definitely come back again. They provided everything we needed for the beach.
