Dedeman Erzurum Palandöken Ski Lodge

I fell in love with my room nice clean and cozy. Planning to visit again in winter.

In a very quite place, easy to reach. But these are all good news because, first, they couldn't find my reservation. Second, they changed my reservation, another room with no breakfast included. It took us 30 min to get what we've paid for, with phones, mails forward and so on. Unpleasant! The apartment was, for sure, a very good one but no more:black spots in the bathroom, lime missing on the walls, burnt carpet old furniture and even a hole in the sheets.

The hotel was bad, the people who worked there were fine. But service was really bad.

The room was in good condition but not clean, especially bathroom. I have noticed the herbs are not washed well and let the stuff know about it. Next day nothing changed. The receptionist gave a price 100tl for airport transfer in a shared shuttle for two, which is way too higher than taxi fare(75tl) :). Hotel phisically in good condition and good location but the service and stuff behavior is not my best experience. Plus: The wardrope in the room has an illumination but it wasnt functional. The room phone were unplugged from the line, non functional. Bathroom ventilation was malfunctional.

Quite old, bad food, but perfect location. Prices OK for season.

Although it had some stains on the carpet and maybe needed a lick of paint here or there in the bedroom, I had no complaints. Reading the other reviews I was expecting the worst. It was far better than what I was expecting. The bed was great!.

It is a great location for skiing and snowboarding. The hotel is right at the bottom of the larger ski lifts in the area. It's not close to the city center, so it's a little difficult to get to restaurants, but there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that will take into the city.

We made our third trip to the Palandoken Ski Lodge. Its a little older and rustic looking, but we love it! The people are great and my boys learned how to ski from an instructor we met at the hotel ski shop. Fantastic!!

What a wonderful trip! If you have a chance to visit Erzurum in the winter, Dedeman Hotel is a great value. We stayed and lift tickets and meals were included in the price. Both of our children (ages 4 and 6) skied right from the hotel's front door. The rental shop and gear room were both attached to the hotel, so it was easy to go from breakfast right out to the slopes. The guys working in the gear/locker room were fabulous. They helped our kids get their boots on and off everyday. There was a bit of confusion about the reservation through hotels.com, but that was cleared up fairly easily. Overall, a great trip and a chance to ski without lift lines!

If the idea of a good, old fashioned ski holiday appeals to you then the Palandoken Ski Resort is perfect. All the important modern things are there. The food is fine. The resort is beautiful with the necessities and luxury items like the spa. The abundance of hardwood architecture and absence of a pool give it that pleasurable rustic feel. We arrived on Saturday with our 5 and 7 year old sons who had seen two days of snow in their lives and never even seen snow skis. On Thursday when we departed they were skiing the mountain from the top of the Gondola with us. Amazing! An attached rental store and ski locker room add incredible convenience to the ski to the hotel experience! I love the resort and the mountain. The instructors were incredible with our kids. I can't wait to return.
