Costa d'Oriente Residence Club

poteva andare meglio se il bar avesse funzionato agli orari prestabiliti...

Siamo stati ad agosto una settimana in 3 con un figlio di 12 anni. Residence piccolo ( per noi e' un pregio) e accogliente con servizio navetta in una spiaggia a torre dell'orso. Vivamente consigliata un'auto. Pulito e confortevole, l'appartamento era meglio che in foto. Animazione più adatta a bimbi piccoli, comunque tutti gentilissimi. Non vi perdete i consigli di Caterina su dove andare e cosa visitare: sempre azzeccati. Piscina pulita con servizio sdraio e ombrellone e un simpatico bagnino.

Positives: 1) When the animation and the mini club has really started it gave us a break (about 2.5h a day) from the daily parenting. 2) The Residence is relatively small (about 30 nice apartments) and cosy. The pool is also nice. 3) The sea was rather clean and the long sandy beach was good. Only a small part of the beach is public, however. Negatives: 1) Maybe it is common for Italy but we found there were significant additional charges above those indicated at this site. Those were about 25% for two adults and two kids above 3y.o – club cards and other fees – that we had to pay at the arrival (we were warned about those additional expenses by the company dealing with the reservation “Ionian travel” in advance, though). 2) Animation was lazy at the beginning of our stay (July 2013) – the truncated version of the mini club for kids was held only two times during our first 9 days of stay. Later the action kicked in and kids were enjoying it a lot. 3) The Residence is not a walking distance from the beach of Torre Del Orso. It takes 5-7 minutes for the shuttle bus to reach the sea. The bus runs on schedule (every 0.5h or 1h) but a couple of times it was missing. 4) No cleaning service for the apartments during the stay. Only the linen is handed over once a week.
