Nice place, the staff was good and they even called a cab for time the next day. I would definitely stay there again if I was in Glasgow.

"Felt more like a hostel than a guest house"

4.0

Had the downstairs room which was very basic. Tiny bathroom with a shower over the bath and no shower screen or curtain. Hence, water everywhere. Not sure why you would put a bath in such a tiny room? The bed was sitting on a home made type of wooden shelf. Couldn’t access PowerPoint without having to move the bed. There was an IKEA type of table in the room which was odd. Not a desk or console table, but a small dining table. Couple of nice scandi chairs but that was it. There was also a dusty old cupboard in our room with a couple of clothes hangers in it and some old mattresses. Basically a junk cupboard. Wifi was good and breakfast was continental. The two days we were there the boiled eggs ran out and the cheese too and they weren’t replenished. First in, so you have to be quick. Parking on the street at your own expense.

"Pass this one up. "

We were greeted by a young girl who was doing laundry in the “office” room. After getting our key, we proceeded up two flights of curving stairs dragging our luggage. No one was available to help us. Just short of the second floor and on the staircase was the door to our room, no landing. Upon entering we had to immediately go down three steps into our room. The bathroom was about four feet by four feet and was located just inside the door at the top of the three steps. What????! We immediately requested another room and were accommodated if we paid more money and slept together in a double bed. Better than nothing. The house was very old with chipping paint and ill fitting doors. Bathroom was a bare minimum with only tiny corner shower. Can’t review breakfast as we left early for our flight. At 5:30 am it appeared that there was no one on the property except the guests. Very scary for two women travelers. 0 stars

"Well-situated and comfortable guest house"

8.0

Amadeus Guest House is in the "Bohemian" West End of Glasgow and was, overall, a good value -- room was small (as they all are in Europe) and somewhat funky in layout, but it seemed to have all the amenities we needed and it was clean and quiet and the beds were comfortable -- this is a "guest house"' not a B&B so the breakfast was strictly continental, no "Full English Breakfast" here, but there was more than enough variety and quantity to enjoy -- staff was very friendly and helpful and provided recommendations for sightseeing and two spot-on recommendations for dinners, one a pub meal (The Old School House) and the other a more up-scale birthday dinner (Stravaigin, easily the best meal we've ever had in the UK), both within easy walking distance --

The reception staff were super accommodating! They allowed me to drop my bag off after a late night flight even though my room wasn't yet ready. Rosie even gave me a cup of coffee! Loved the excellent West End location.

"Handy guesthouse for access to central Glasgow"

Good little hotel with some nice touches, eg apples, chocolates, good quality continental breakfast. Right by Kelvinbridge underground. Good area with lots of restaurants nearby.

Location in Glasgow’s West End was good, definitely the nicest part of Glasgow. Wonderful meal down the street at Cail Bruach.
