"A traditional hotel in the heart of Sapporo"

10.0

A comfortable Japanese-style hotel, within walking distance of Sapporo station, right between the botanical gardens and the former government building, and an easy walk to Hokkaido University, and Odori Park. My only gripe would be that wifi is only in the lobby, where the designated smoking area is. A tip: spring for the Japanese breakfast...it's very reasonably priced, the food is pretty good, and it's a great way to start your day of exploring.

fantastic was the comment from my brother-in-law. This was his first visit, while this was my third visit and I would not choose to stay anywhere else. The service is impeccable.

Most courteous staff, our third stay here. Excellent location, and it was interesting to find out about how the place has been owned by so many generations

"Great location and accommodating staff"

8.0

The staff were the best part of our stay going outhe of their way to create a vegetarian friendly breakfast. Our welcome tea ceremony in the tatami room was a real treat and the guidance to explore town was very good.

"Wonderful staff"

10.0

Nakamura Ryokan is a good place to stay for lots of reasons, but the most important is the staff. They were friendly, accommodating, and and excellent source for recommendations around the city. I will definitely stay at Nakamura Ryokan during my next trip to Sapporo.

"Great Ryokan"

10.0

The homemade, traditional Japanese foods they served at breakfast were wonderful. The service was top quality, and MOST of the staff were very good about speaking to me in Japanese when I spoke to them in Japanese. They have a couple people who can communicate in English on staff of you want a traditional experience but haven't studied up. It's a fantastic little ryokan in a perfect location.

"Access is everything"

8.0

Stayed for a few nights and was very pleased with both the price and location. This ryokan is nothing flash, but the staff and its proximity to the sapporo JR station, subway, and central sapporo made up for it in bounds.
