Balos Beach Hotel

Great hotel at the base of the road to Balos Beach. Gorgeous room, spectacular ocean view (and huge balcony), delicious breakfast, wonderful staff. One of my best memories of Crete!

We were greeted like family when we arrived at Balos Beach Hotel. And when we checked out the night before our 5AM departure, we were told to stop by the desk in the morning to pick up breakfast baskets for our drive. We did; they were wonderful. And everything in between was delightful. The hotel was beautiful. The views were spectacular. And we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, beach and nearby restaurants.

We stayed at Balos beach hotel for 7 days and were delightd with both our room and the level of service during our stay. I would recommend those staying to rent a car as it's about 7km to Kissamoss. There are a couple of villages nearby for some supplis and excellent restaurantsfor those who don't drive though. The room and pool were spotless each day and we made plenty of use of the beach right infront of the hotel as well. We made use of the breakfast and diner buffets on several days and the food was always of a high quality (particularly breakfast). We would definitely book again.

Amazing place, very secluded and couldn't beleive it was only 3 stars! closest hotel to Balos Bay and really helpful staff. Would definatley recommend

Balos Beach Hotel is a lovely place to stay and quite a value for such spacious digs. The views are spectacular, the staff is amazing and this is a quiet environment for those looking to hear the sea and see the stars. The only issue I had was minor, the hot water takes time to warm if you are a early riser and the food was average yet affordable and there is fine dining within walking distance. The beach is full of rocks at the water making swimming treacherous but again there are other beaches close by so not really an issue. Yanna at the front desk is amazingly kind and lovely and went to great lengths to ensure the hot water issue was resolved swiftly. The staff does an great job at keeping the place beautiful clean and I truly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend Balos Beach Hotel.

Located close to the entrance to the car entrance to Balos lagoon. Views are amazing. Our room had a double and two twins but I don't know where.you would put things away. There's a small closet but it won't accommodate four people. There's a hot plate but no hot water/coffee maker, pots but no pans. The restaurant dinner buffet is acceptable but nothing special. You would probably enjoy the taverna up the road more. We did. As for Balos lagoon, you need to see it. The landscape is spectacular and best viewed from above. However if you want to spend a day at a beach, my suggestion would be to head to Falassarna.

Nice hotel, close to beach and had a lovely pool. Staff were excellent - very friendly. Location was nice - quiet, comfortable. Fantastic view and easy walk to beach. The beach was fairly rocky - you would need water shoes and lots of waves. Not good for small children but there is a pool. Room was nice and big, the patio was lovely. Only complaint is that the rooms need to be updated - the door didn't shut to the bathroom because the wood is warped and paint is all chipped away, bathroom around tub/shower needed updating. Mattresses on beds were thin and not super comfortable. However, the room was clean and that's all that really mattered - not much time was actually spent in room.

Nice hotel close to the balos beach and other Remarquable beaches (falassarna & Elafonissis) and to some very good restaurants. Quiet and relaxing environment. Easy to reach form Chania Lovely end efficient staff. Spacious and quiet room with stunning sea view The hotel beach and the pool could be improved We would like to come back! Went there in early September .

Stunning location. Perfect spot to drive to major beaches. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay perfect!

The front check in experience was wonderful. Had welcome drinks and appetizers. Lovely room overlooking the beach. The pool was very nice. Enjoyed our stay.
