"Lamentavelmente..."

6.0

Obrigado.

"Would not recommend "

2.0

Not near the beach as web site infers in booking.com. The picture of the sand dunes and beautiful beach I discovered was a 10 minute drive away. Hotel very shabby and in need of a good paint and clean. Very dated and nothing around hotel so you couldn't even walk to a restaurant.

"Need a car!"

6.0

Stayed here for a week with my daughter and niece (14 & 15). On arrival via airport taxi transfer there was no reception staff at the desk. A phone was available and a number - staff came quickly to check us in. The apartment was great. Large living area, big bathroom and decent sized bedroom. The only issue with the room was a small balcony and to get clean towels, we had to ask at reception although on the last day we discovered if you leave the towels on the floor they would be changed. The location was very remote used you have a car. There are no shops and only one other place to eat within walking distance. The pool area was good but the sun beds were a bit tired and very few umbrellas. The indoor pool was cool but came in handy when the weather wasn't great. The staff were in the main very helpful and most speak English. The food we had was good however there isn't a menu to choose from - the choice is either the meat or the fish. The bar was a bit of a challenge! There isn't a bar tender - to order a drink we needed to ask reception to get someone to serve us. Not the staffs fault - the hotel obviously don't staff everything! Breakfast was good. Wide choice of breads, croissants, pastries, hot food, fruit etc. there is no limit as to the quantities so you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast. If you are staying here I would definitely recommend a car! There is a port about 5km away which is lovely to visit but very expensive in a taxi (20€ one way and more for the return trip) and Torreira is about the same distance in the other direction. Along the river are little beaches which are busy with people fishing and sunbathing but these are just a bit too far to walk to. The beach is about 7km away near to the port so if you want a beach this hotel isn't ideal. This hotel is ok but not what you would expect for a holiday hotel....lacking in atmosphere and not much going on but the area is very nice if you like quiet non tourist areas.

"Boa localização e muita simpatia"

8.0

"disaster!"

2.0

Hotel was difficult to find, was not on the beach as stated by booking.com. Hotel has definately seen better days. On approaching hotel one had the immediate feeling they had made a mistake! So called football field had grass almost as high as the goals!Swimming pool was surrounded by squashed roaches and it seemed rubbish was hidden behind bushes rather than being removed. All parts of the hotel that were metal were rusting.Reception smelt of sweat and bleach and had piped music from the 60s. Furniture in lobby was dogeared, and most decour was dated. Restaurant had a large aquarium which was full of water. only living thing in the water was the green algae! The hotel had zero atmosphere and most staff did not speak any English when we booked in. Hotel was empty apart from a few elderly portuguese guests. computers offered by hotel were very old and even their login codes didnt work. Hotel was nowhere near any life, seemed to be more dogs in the village than people.Only good thing we have to say is the t2 room was very large and was clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a holiday where you dont have to fight for a pool bed, queue for a tennis court,be the only people in the restaurant or bar, use outdated gym equipment, feel you are totaly isolated rather than on holiday, like 60s piped music and end up having to speak portuguese to communicate during your stay then this is the place for you!!!! Hotel is classed as four star but would struggle to get 2 stars in any real tourist area. Some of the facilities they claim to offer are non existant
