Ontbijtbuffet erg duur, 18,00 p.p. Wij zijn geen grote ontbijters en dan is dat niet in verhouding. Hebben we dus ook niet gedaan. Naar de bakker om de hoek gegaan voor een croissant.

"Lovely hotel with an excellent restaurant but with an attitude"

The location was great, within walking distance of all the tourist attractions. We ate in the Bistro restaurant and the dinner was excellent. The lobby bar area was very attractive. The room and bed were comfortable There was a large bathroom with a shower as well as a bathtub. There was a luggage rack as well as a closet. We appreciated that there was a Nespresso machine in our room. There was secure parking available behind the hotel. The breakfast included fruit, eggs, cold cuts, smoked salmon and pastries but there seemed to be a problem with stocking the buffet, see below.

Returning from a week in the UK, we booked here expecting to have a relaxing evening and a good meal. Unfortunately, our stay was a bit spoiled by the curt and condescending attitude of the staff at the front desk. When we arrived we parked in front of the hotel and went in to inquire about where we should park. The woman at the front desk said that parking in the hotel lot was @11€ per night but that we could park on the street if we wanted. When we managed to sort out how to use the app on the machine in front of the hotel (with her help) we discovered that parking on the street would cost more than 20€ as we had arrived at 3pm. When I told her that street parking was more expensive that their lot, she said curtly, "Well I don't know anything about the parking on the street!" I mentioned that perhaps it would be helpful to their guests if she could better inform them about the parking options. In fact, I think this is a service that clients should be able to expect from any good hotel. She then informed us that our room would not be ready until 4pm and told my husband that we should bring in our luggage in the front door which necessitated carrying our luggage up several steps. After moving our car to the parking lot, we discovered that there is in fact a ramp to the back door which would have been much better for us bringing in our luggage. When we came down in the morning for breakfast, we saw that there were several tables in the nice restaurant area with dirty dishes. We were eventually directed to a table set up for two and the buffet where we discovered there was only one tiny pain au chocolate and three tiny croissants remaining and a small morsel of the pain au graines. On asking a fresh loaf of bread arrived but we were told that there were no more pain au chocolate unless we wanted to wait 15 minutes. I found this totally unacceptable for a hotel of this standard especially as they knew that we would be coming for breakfast.
