Royal Son Bou Family Club

This was our fourth visit to RSB and as always we had an amazing time. It’s a perfect location and the facilities and town of Don Bou are the best for kids. What makes it for us though is the amazing staff. Special mention as always for Toni, Fernando and Jorge in the restaurants who look after us so well and make our little boy feel so welcome. They work tirelessly for the guests and we really appreciate it. Kikoland is always a highlight and again there it is about the staff. Our little boy particularly loves Rosa, Gio, Melanie and Lucia. He can be quite shy and they really take the time to bring him round and include him. Thank you so much. The new addition of the splash zone was great this year and we used that most days. The only thing this year was an increase in reserving pool loungers which is disappointing. I really don’t think this is the hotel’s fault as they make it clear it’s not acceptable but sadly some were doing it this year and embarrassingly for us it was British people. Maybe it’s time to follow through with the threat of just removing towels since they can’t follow the rule.

A must go to for a young family! Every single member of staff was welcoming and made my children feel happy and safe. They all said hello, would make time for a little chat and would go above and beyond if we needed anything. The facilities are amazing... The service they provide and activities for the children. The food was brilliant! So much choice and had enough variety for my 2 girls who are very picky eaters! The beach is so close and beautiful! I highly recommend if you have young children. Every area is clean and staff members work hard to ensure it stays like that. Nothing was at fault. 5 stars from us!

Gostei muito do staff, do app que eles disponibilizam para acompanhar os eventos e toda a parte kids/baby. Muito baby friendly, perfeito para famílias!

This is our third time at the Royal Son Bou. Today we visited another resort on the island for a change of scene. Having mistaking assumed that all these family resort hotels are much of a muchness, our experience today has prompted me to write a review of Son Bou to praise what they do so well, which i now realise I have taken for granted when it’s actually a very special place indeed. Of course, most hotels within close proximity to the coast of this beautiful island are blessed with stunning scenery, and Son Bou is not exception. But the Icing on the cake is the high standards in this hotel itself. Everything is clean and well looked after and pleasant. They don’t allow you to sit at a dirty table. The gardens are lush with flowers. Great care is taken to ensure you are looked after and comfortable. It’s a big resort with many families arriving and leaving each day, but you never feel faceless- on the contrary the staff treat everyone with personalised respect- from the friendly cleaning staff to the knowledgable waiters to the chefs who go above and beyond their remit to cater for your special needs and preferences. We have been coming for four years and recognise the same staff- and some even recognised us. Son Bou feels like a homecoming, and we really recommend it to young families who need to reconnect and be well looked after. We always feel we need to return. Top tip- the chiringito on the beach is fabulous for lunch.

We returned to Royal Son Bou after visiting 3 years ago. When returning somewhere I'm always worried that it won't be as good as we remembered, but we didn't need to worry. It was excellent, and we are looking to book again! The staff are so friendly and happy, and we even recognised some who were there when we last visited which I always think is a good sign. The rooms were clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The service and food in the restaurants was great. Kikoland is just amazing. Can not recommend this hotel enough to young families

Tiny things , Gym could be upgraded

This is our second visit to royal son bou exactly a year later. I have to admit that when we visited last year we loved the kids facilities and entertainment but just didn’t love the food overall and had a few other reservations (some areas needed updating and the resort of son bou itself is quiet) however our daughter had the time of her life last year so we decided to visit again along with our 8 month old baby. I’m so happy we did. On arrival we discovered they had given us the very same apartment as last year! Plus a gift for returning… both of these were a nice touch, the sea view is amazing and we can’t fault the inside of the apartments themselves. They have everything for a family to stay and I noticed they had updated the balcony furniture. Kikoland and the evening kids discos are the highlight! Lorena, Gino and Lucia especially who made the holiday for my daughter. They remembered her name the whole trip and were always welcoming her with a huge smile! There was a good mix of activities in KikoLand each day, the donut decorating and the pony rides were our 3 year olds highlight. We also love the baby club, however the feedback I gave last time was that the baby club really needed some updating. We actually found the same toys as last year and there really wasn’t much variety for smaller babies to play with, just rattle toys on a small mat in the corner. If we visit again next year, it would be good to see this improved? The food was much improved! We have a couple of allergies, I am allergic to gluten and we had quite a few issues last year with very long wait times to get hold of gluten free food. Special mention to Emanuela this trip who was excellent in her knowledge of products on offer, she always came over to check what I needed (toast, pasta, dessert etc). I felt overall the staff in the dining room were much better with allergies, so I imagine some additional training has happened since we last came. Well done! The only negative we had were the cocktails in the bar, we were half board so paid for drinks and we found the cocktails to be very watered down and basic, they didn’t really taste like what they were meant to. So after a couple of tries, we went to Buddha Lounge opposite and they had excellent cocktails for the same price. We were just so impressed that the hotel had actually made significant improvements from last year and I think that’s a testament to a great hotel to keep up updating and changing. We will be back next year!

Royal Son Bou from the start stressed the kids are their focus which is apparent from how the facilities are planned. Ample of entrances and moving around is accessible for push chairs. There is a dedicated kids pool and easy access to Son Bou beach which is very clear with fine white sand. Every staff from reception/ kitchen/ cleaning staff are all so welcoming, we feel valued throughout our stay. Food in the restaurants is also good considering that it is all inclusive-the quality is there. The thing that stands out is Kikoland which is their main childcare hub which caters from 0-2 up to teens. Our kids had fun from plethora of activities that they provide and daily excursions that we joined throughout our trip. Kikoland staff are all amazing they put amazing value to the experience and they cannot be thanked enough. We look forward to seeing the resort next year.

Amazing place for families! It is built around the kids, to let parents have quality time as much as relaxing time.

La cuisine est très petite : pas facile de cuisiner correctement mais pour des plats basiques, ça passe.
