Ariadne Hotel

The location was amazing..! We arrived a little later than expected but the young girl on Reception was so so nice..! Told us we could park at the front and showed us to our room.. Explained about breakfast etc. and couldn’t be more helpful.. Stunning Hotel and location, would definitely recommend 👏👏😊

The only negative was the beds weren’t very comfy. We only needed the one night as we had a villa booked so served it’s purpose very well.

bathroom was horrible, beds were horrible, appearance of room was dilapidated. Breakfast was terrible.

Stuff is nice. Private parking. Nice swimming pool and very cosy and beautiful territory. 300 m away the beach with sun beds and umbrellas (but to tell the truth we spent there only one day, Crete has much more attractive beaches). We had economy studio - the room on ground floor, very big and nice, most of the time it’s under the shade. The best thing - air condition - it’s installed just above the door and it’s not blowing directly to your head when you sleep (actually it’s the first time for me when it’s not located just above the bed or in front of the bed). Quite big fridge. There are all necessary dishes for cooking. Cleaning every day. Stable hot water, good shower. Big cloth dryer at the balcony.

The balcony wasn’t cleaned - only after our asking they did it. No salt, dish liquid, soap - I’m absolutely sure that other tenants leave some leftovers, because everybody buys it every time. It’s 4 km from Rhetimno, sounds very close, but driving is permanent traffic jam there. There is bus 20 , I guess it goes to Rhetimno, but every time I saw it it was overcrowded, I’m not sure it’s nice trip. Absence of wi-fi at the balcony. And mattress - I couldn’t sleep first night, it is too soft, but later I used to it and slept well. To tell the truth - there were no things which are really negative or bad, it’s just small inconvenience.
