Langtons Hotel Kilkenny

It was close to the centre of town and with parking.The staff and food in the bar area were very good.

We were upgraded and that was very nice but we had heavy luggage and the room was on the 3rd floor and there was no lift or assistance. Although the room was spacious and clean, it did look a bit tired and needs updating.

my family arrived for my daughters small wedding on 25th june, with my dad who is 82 and my mam 75 yrs, dad uses a cane and we were sent on a long unnecessary route to the welcome area exhausting him in 35 drgree heat noone was attentive enough to show us to the welcome area when i mentioned this to a member of staff he replied were busy we have two weddings today...my mam responded we are part of one of those weddings. The first 15 or 20 minutes was chaos will alarms falsely activated which intrupted the air conditioning, a sweat box is an under statement. Noone indicated as to whether it was a real emergency or false alarm. The small bar we were brought to for tea coffee and biscuits on arrival for wedding did not actually serve the tea or coffee there was none offered just cups and saucers left out for display on the bar. The hotel had 3 staff.serving there The younger girl was not suitable for front of house service. She was unfriendly, could not fill a drinks order correctly, gave warm glasses for cold drinks. Her attitude was appauling. The barman made excuses for not having drinks in stock initially, to give him his due, he later came and apologised for he the manner he spoke to me in. In short a poor standard for a hotel wigh such long history in business in kilkenny city. As the mother of the bride I feel my daughter was hugely let down and wonder if all the attention went go the other wedding party.....lucky them

Couldn't recommend more highly. Staff were great, room was delightful, and the location is just minutes from the town center. I'd stay here again.

Central in Kilkenny. Hotel with some history. Our rooms were in a separate building at the back with gardens and exclusive and quiet location. Our rooms are large and all the amenities. From bathtub to bidet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Hot breakfast are ordered to be served, the pastries and beverages were unlimited.

There was a dirty baby sock in the radiator of my room. Makes me question the cleanliness.
