1 Bedroom Studio Apartment near Eagle Street

The location of the property is excellent. Very easy to get around the city and South Bank. The studio apartment itself had a lovely view outside of the windows. It was small, but would have been manageable. There is minimal hanging space, but that was workable too. However, there were some issues: 1) The floor didn't feel clean, notably the mat at the base end of the bed where the desk was felt damp and didn't feel clean. 2) The chair was broken, it took less than 2 seconds to see that it was broken near the curve between the base and the back. This made it harder to work at the desk 3) The desk was also tired and needed to replaced. The chips on the top actually looked like dirty stains not chips, it was only on further investigation that I could see that they were chips. 4) The air conditioning unit had a funny noise that was quite loud. The unit worked, but it was too noisy to use at night time and the fan is too big for the room and, because the bed is underneath it is too cold even on the lowest setting for the temperature that I was operating in. Overall, I was not happy with the place and I umm'd and aaah'd over whether to even leave a review, but I figured that had I read a review like this prior to booking, I probably wouldn't have booked the place.

Received an email 8 minutes before checking in advising that we could not check in to our apartment until 4:30 pm due to the cleaner not cleaning the apartment until this time. Naturally being on holiday I was not constantly checking emails so did not see this until I was already at the hotel. I contacted the company to confirm if a cleaner had been as there was blood on the bedding. The company did not confirm if the apartment had been cleaned and requested I send photographic proof of the blood. I sent this through and a woman popped by at 5:20pm the following day to deliver clean bedding for me to change the sheets myself and touch the bloody bedding once again...
