The hotel is very clean and tidy and the staff was friendly and helpful

The room was cold (we stayed there in June) but we had enough blankets so it wasn't a problem during the night

We can't say much because unfortunately we were sick and we had to go to a clinic for the 3 nights that we have booked here. The owner cslled the clinic and a doctor came to the hotel and decided to take us with him to the hospital.

Far from the city centre and, for what I remember, was quite cold but I don't know if they would provide a heater if asked.

It's run by a small team, so you will feel right at home. Location felt safe even at night. The breakfast is cooked to order by a housekeeper, who is the nicest lady. They were also pretty accommodating of our requests, arranging taxi rides from Poroy and the airport. We ended up extending our stay by another 2 nights just so we could come back to the same place after Machu Picchu. We left most of our belongings in the room + room safe while we were in Aguas Calientes, and had no issues.

Location is about a 20 mins walk from the main historical town square. The walk felt safe even at night though, plus it was only a USD 2-3 Uber ride anyway. Wasn't a game changer for us.
