The Velvet Rose

Comfortable and clean. Close to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and the bed was very comfortable. There was a small miscommunication between the innkeeper and us. We did not received the room lock combo from the innkeeper on the day of check-in. We tried calling the number posted on the inn, but the phone just rang and rang and no one picked up. I also called hotels.com to see if they had contact info for the innkeeper, but scheduled a call back because the wait time was 45min. I eventually realized the inn next store was owned by the same company and it had an on-site innkeeper so I knocked and told them I had not received the code for the cottage door and check-in was almost an hour before we arrived. He was able to get in touch with the innkeeper for our building. Andrew was very prompt at getting us the information we needed so we could get our vacation started. Later in the week the battery for the keypad stopped working and we got locked out of our room. Andrew was easy to get ahold of and was very prompt about getting it fixed. He also offered to store our groceries in another inns fridge while they got the door battery fixed, as we had just been to the store.
