The Crown Hotel is perfectly located a very short walk to the beach. It's surrounded by Restaurants and cafes. Breakfasts where included so it gave us a great start for a day of site seeing and other activities. The staff were wonderful and even the maintenance Tech was a good hand ,our A/C played up and he had it sorted very quickly.

This hotel is an absolute disgrace and a complete scam. They tried to charge me a commission for using a credit card. When I refused, they reacted with an aggressive and threatening attitude, saying, “This is how it will be.” I asked to speak with the hotel manager, only to be told that there is no management staff on-site at all. Even the person responding to me through Booking.com was not at the property—apparently, they live in Hanoi. This is completely unacceptable and ridiculous. When I informed them that I would file complaints with the relevant authorities and that charging a commission on card payments is illegal, I also made it clear that I would not make any payment under those conditions. Only then, the next day, they finally accepted my credit card payment without any commission. This shows that the commission charge was entirely illegal and something they were trying to get away with. As for cleanliness and hygiene—things were even worse. My room had cockroaches appear multiple times, and in the B1 floor, where towels were being stored before being sent to the laundry, I saw both rats and cockroaches crawling between the used towels. It was absolutely disgusting. Despite all the positive comments about the breakfast on Booking.com, I couldn’t bring myself to trust it after seeing the hygiene issues. Still, I went down to check. What I experienced was beyond belief: one of the staff members, while I was getting a drink, literally grabbed my glass from my hand, poured himself a drink, and drank it—right in front of me. Then he laughed loudly with his coworkers like it was a joke. The staff were unprofessional, loud, and disrespectful. I was so disgusted, I never went down for breakfast again. This place should not be allowed to operate as a hotel. I strongly urge others to stay away.

On arrival. I was asked to pay. They charged me for the King Deluxe Room. Which l had booked. Although, I was put in a lower paid room, than they had charged me for. On revisiting the reception. I showed them my bookings.com confirmation & the price they charged me corresponded with it. They contacted the management, then took me to a room containing 2 single beds. Again! Not what l booked. They told me, that all the rooms above my floor, that the aircon was not working. I later found out. THIS WAS A LIE! Patrons on the higher floors confirmed this. Reception advised me. That the room with the 2 single beds was the only 1 available. Considering l had already paid, l begrudgely accepted and began settling into the room, shortly after. A knock on the door it was reception asking to show me the bookings.com confirmation. Which l did AGAIN!!!!. They took a photo of it then left. Along with this. NO! cable channels, NO! satelite channels. 5G High speed WIFI (Bulls#$t) it was more intermittent, than high speed. Outdated Flat Screen TV, couldn't even bring up Youtube on it. If management treat their employees they way they treat their patrons. I feel sorry for the employees. The only reason this place did not get a ZERO. Was because of the housekeeping staff. 3 things l cannot tollerate: Thiefs, Lies, & Hippocrites. These people will take your money & lie to your face. Note: Bookings.com. There are a lot of negative reviews, but in my experience I didn't see any of the negative aspects mentioned here. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were always smiling, and it was a very comfortable stay for me.

I stayed for 8 nights, but the coffee at breakfast became weak halfway through and the Vietnamese feel was diluted, which was disappointing. The shower head was broken and caused a huge leak during shower.
