Met our expectations! It was nice.

The room and hallway were very musty stunk quite a lot. Room and bed were dirty, old furniture, bathroom had the ceiling cover off, ceiling tiles were extremely water stained and sink/mirror were bad as well. Would NOT recommend staying there.

The whole place smelled like mildew and old cigarettes. The ceiling in the hallway was constantly dripping water into several large buckets. The carpets were damp. There were stains all over the bedding as well as the towels. The shower didn't drain and you couldn't adjust the temp. They only gave me about 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper for the three days I was there and never came in to replenish towels are anything. The towels were so damp and stained, I didn't know if they were actually clean or not. The entire room was so humid I had to keep the window unit at it's lowest temp just to try and dry in out. After the initial check in. I never saw another human the entire time I was there.

So this is a Mom and Pop Hotel, but since Route 66 in Kansas is only a short drive, we really don't know how long it has existed. It is clean and comfy, but it is a young couple with a young family running the place, which may be a little much to handle. They were trying to host a small breakfast bar from 6 to 9, but at 6:45 no one had set it up so we went across the street and grabbed coffee at McDonald's and went on our way. There is good news, though, we tend to look for truckers staying at a place to know what is safe and clean and plenty of truckers stayed there.

Quiet location; not a huge bustling facility. Friendly staff.

Broken furniture (drawers) fridge had defrosted with door shut, so was growing some mold....odour too, so.....yeah. Remove, or fix the furniture, don't leave broken stuff in place.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was large. 1) I have never used such thin towels 2) Some of the fixtures were not great - the faucet handle came off in my hand, bureau was missing a drawer tront, sheets were stained 3) i chose this hotel because it offered breakfast. I had a choice of corn flakes, a banana or coffee.
