The Olive Tree Villa

Very modern, awesome view, the nicest hostess and people you could ever meet, thinks of everything and did not want for anything.

Incredible property, stunning location with views to die for and an amazing hostess and team which all made for a wonderful stay. We booked suite 3 (sadly suite 2 was already booked) and it was lovely - large comfy bed, small table and chairs, well equipped kitchen area, fabulous shower and most importantly lovely wide patio doors so that you can sit and idle away the hours watching the sea or more importunely the whales & dolphins. Both suites are great value for money and it is was available I would encourage anyone to book suite 2 as having the bedroom and lounge in separate rooms would be preferable. There is also a lovely outside area with comfy chairs and a lovely BBQ or braai. Sadly we only booked for a couple of nights but could have stayed for several more. Yzerfontein is a little remote, although its only about an 1 hour 15mins from the centre of Cape Town, and there aren't many attractions locally beyond some wine tasting and the West Coast National Park (which is a great place to visit) BUT thats the attraction. You feel a million miles away when you are at The Olive Tree and we spent hours just watching the sea / walking on the beach it was lovely....or admiring the ostriches who wander past. We also dined at Leeto restaurant in Paternoster - Karin recommended it and it's a bit of a drive (c 1 hour) but well worth it - we had a lovely meal there. A big thanks to Karin and the team for looking after us so well - it was also great to meet Sophie who was so friendly to both of us. We very much hope to be back ..... and soon.

This is the most beautiful, breathtaking and caring experience.

This was the best accomodation we ever had. Karin was an amazing host making sure we're comfortable and happy. The villa is located directly at the beautiful beach with a stunning view. You can watch the sunset and in the mornings you sometimes even see dolphins. On the last day we got delicious freshly baked goods from Karin. There is even a fireplace for cold evenings.

There is nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect.

The whole experience from arrival to departure was exceptional and very professional. Karin and her team are just incredible and we thank them all dearly.

There is nothing to not like.

Free filtered water, friendly and helpful staff. The views and wildlife. They have a family of ostriches with three babies walking the streets. Karen is a wonderful host. Our every need was seen to. The touches of opulence in the decor(sheepskin carpets next to the bed)and once of free breakfast made for a really superb experience.

If we stayed longer, a microwave would have been great. I enjoy more natural light. On good sunny days, you don't notice it ,we had rainy weather. The shower can do with a plastic carpet to prevent slipping.
