Hotel Europolis

the receptionist didn't know we are coming.we somehow managed to convince her we have already paid in advance. second issue - there were drainage problems in our bathroom and the floor very wet all the time. breakfast was o.k. the room was o.k. location was good! the lobby looks very nice!

Good location near the main square with possibility of parking in the street. But there is no lift, the staff is kind of condescending, not friendly at all, breakfast leaves a lot to be desired and the room was just average. The night lamp did not work, no air conditioning. The bathroom looked old and neglected and it badly needed maintenance: the wash basin had a leaking pipe and I had to put a glass and towels to collect the water and avoid flooding.

So i visited Europolis Hotel in Tulcea. I only stayed for 1 night and it was ok but something really weird happend! Me and my fiends were trying to fall asleap, some wierd electric lights were flashing five minutes apart from each other! It was so wierd! In rest...the bed was good and we had a good sleep! About the food...i can’t say much...At the breakfast the croissants were disgusting and there weren’t many things to eat! But the dinner was really good ! About the employees, they were kind and friendly.

Very nice and functional room in the main building above the reception, bathroom with shower box, TV with many channels. Be careful with elevator, the light is not working, you’ll make your ride in darkness illuminated only by display. Breakfast is almost disastrous. Cold sausages and scrambled eggs, thins bread slices that fall apart when you touch them, frozen butter, only one type of cereal. Tables do not look nice either.

Easy walking distance to the waterfront, main square, ecology museum, and farmer's market, as well as the churches. Staff very supportive. Please note that their Handicapped Assessible room is on the first floor, no stairs to get to it, but not air-conditioned. So we moved to a room on the first floor which required going up 3 steps to the lift. We left my husband's Segway/wheelchair on the ground floor and he used a walker. Room was clean and spacious, nothing fancy. Same for breakfast. Interesting artwork on the walls of the lobby... I'm guessing local artist.

The hotel wasn't that bad and it has been a proper price-comfort ratio. In Tulcea, almost every hotel looks the same, worst with the same amount of money or better with a huge amount of money. There was room service, beds were made during day, sheets and towels were changes everyday. What I didn't like was the fact that the breakfast was the same every day and we didn't have assured a parking place, but there was enough space across the street.

This is a reasonably good hotel. It's situated in downtown Tulcea within walking distance attractions. The rooms are clean and quite spacious. The price is okay. Friendly staff. Consider it while in town. It's a better choice than the smelly Hotel Delta.

We did stay for 3 nights in the hotel. The rooms and esp. bathroom is quite big and clean. It does not really has a lot of charme but for the price it is really ok. Breakfast is decent - but don't ecpect something special here, They staff is quite friendly and can help you to organize your trip in the danube delta. Unfortunatly they did not have a city map for us :-(

Decent, proper and clean hotel, no thrills but value for money. Lousy coffee at breakfast though. Service as allways depending on the individual receptionist. During my stay of 4 days I met two very helpful and one non-caring receptionist. Overall rating 3 out of five.

The rooms were comfortable enough, though full of mosquitoes. Beds aren't made during the day (at least mine wasn't). Breakfast isn't exceptional, but acceptable. Overall good value for money, considering the cheap price. The hotel has an agreement with a very friendly tour operator for the Danube Delta, though you might want to check if other operators don't offer better tours beforehand.
