Metropole Apartments Royal Residence

Location (lovely cafe at end of street and within walking distance of lots of bars and restaurants) Clean & Modern (inside the apartment - not the rest of the building, that's a little shabby, but didn't bother us)

We specifically booked this because it had two bedrooms with double beds and a sofa bed. Our booking stated this clearly, and stated 3 beds ( 2 doubles and a sofa bed). The booking was for 4 people but we are not all couples therefore were not all comfortable sharing the double beds, hence booking this accommodation where we could also use the sofa bed (this is why we booked this accommodation). When we arrived there was a sofa bed, but no bedding anywhere for it. I messaged the host to ask where I could find the bedding for the sofa bed, only to be told the sofa is not for sleeping on! (it was definitely a sofa bed that could be converted to a bed so I don't know why they wouldn't allow us to use it). They should not advertise it as 3 beds if they only allow you to use 2 of those beds. This made our stay very awkward and uncomfortable. They kindly had a few tea bags available, but no cups/mugs that could actually fit a teabag in (just tiny cups suitable for espressos) We didn't trust the lift (looked old), so had to take the stairs up several flights each time.

Prime location, well equipped apartment, no problems with anything.

The 2nd bathroom was a tiny powder room. I expected two full bathrooms.

We couldn’t figure out how to get the coffee machine to work. Written instructions would have helped. There was no cold water in one of the showers. I just used the other.

The location is situated at the "mile zero" in Downtown Bucharest ... very quiet though ... old building but completely renovated, includes AC one every room, very spacious and good amenities! A great find, good communication via whatsapp with the host .... will stay there again in the future.

Great little apartment located close to old Bucharest and to the metro. There are two cute shops and cafes nearby. Would stay here again.
