Absolutely, beautiful and perfect place in a tiny village… Very, very very old recovered and remodeled building and rooms… Umberto did an incredible job and it is beyond beautiful…

La struttura ha il fascino delle costruzioni antiche,molta pietra e legno,ha un gran potenziale, ambienti in parte ristrutturati ,la camera che avevamo a disposizione era ampia ,pulita ,con auto parcheggiata di fronte. il proprietario, persona colta,gentile Abbiamo dormito bene,nel silenzio più assoluto,forse perché non avevamo né tv ,né segnale internet Colazione essenziale Complessivamente un'esperienza positiva.

Siamo stati spiacevolmente sorpresi di non trovare nulla di ciò che ci aspettavamo. La camera era maleodorante e polverosa in ogni dove, sui travi due dita di polvere, letto con telaio arrugginito, crepe nei muri di ogni parete, lunghe come un braccio e larghe da far spavento anche dietro la testiera del letto. Armadio/ guardaroba inesistente. In bagno prodotti per l’igiene personale quasi terminati lasciati da altri clienti, persino una lametta da barba usata.. capelli.. carta igienica già a metà rotolo. In camera non c’erano tendaggi che garantissero la privacy, ne porte dotate di chiavi per poter chiudere la stanza da letto e il bagno.. Abbiamo passato una notte insonne. Il mattino la colazione è stata altrettanto scadente.. vasetti di marmellate già iniziati non si sa da quanto e da chi, biscotti in barattoli senza etichette e scadenze, succo di frutta in brick grande già aperto e a metà. Niente che rispettasse le normative igienico sanitarie. Abbiamo trovato incuria anche nel resto della struttura.. sia dentro che fuori. Ci aspettavamo una casa rustica, non in degrado. Abbiamo deciso di andarcene e l’oste ha negato tutto ciò che gli abbiamo espresso tenendosi l’intero importo della settimana nonostante ce ne stessimo già andando. Un furto. Non aggiungo altro.

Staying at this place was an absolute joy. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed—the host is incredibly polite and kind, the kind of person who makes you feel like an old friend rather than a guest. The house itself is just beautiful—an old soul full of charm and character. Every corner tells a story, and you can feel the love and care that went into restoring and decorating it. The little details, the souvenirs tucked into the shelves, the textures and colors… everything feels meaningful and special. Such a magical place. It has this quiet beauty that wraps around you, and this house fits perfectly into that feeling—timeless, warm, and peaceful. It was more than just a stay. It was a memory we'll treasure. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an incredible experience staying at Umberto's guesthouse in Selegas. The property is truly spectacular—an old country house steeped in history, once home to the countess of the region. The stone house has been beautifully restored, with the former granary now transformed into a charming kitchen and living space spread across two levels. Umberto is an exceptional host, always kind and attentive, especially with our 12 year old son. He went above and beyond to assist us with everything, from groceries to sightseeing tips. We spent wonderful moments together, chatting and playing cards—truly unforgettable. Selegas is a peaceful village in southern Sardinia, just a 30-minute drive from Cagliari Airport. We explored several stunning beaches along the southern coast, visited nearby archaeological sites, and found the local people to be very friendly. Our snorkeling adventures and a day trip to an island on the southwest coast were highlights of our stay. Thank you, Umberto, for being such a lovely host and making our stay so special.

Very beautiful old house and garden, rooms were very comfortable and the host Umberto was super welcoming and sweet, we absolutely loved our stay here.

Basic and unmodernised but very good value. Very hard to find but Umberto the owner was very helpful and served a nice breakfast. Very calm and peaceful location. No meaningful restaurants.
